On a recent visit, Amuse was our last dinner of the vacation, and it turned out to be the best among a host of other wonderful dinners around town. I had a halibut dish, followed by a huckleberry pie & ice cream dessert --- wonderful. The food and service are always top notch, though I have never been a big... More

We had a great dinner at Amuse. Pickled mushroom/carrot salad, prawns with romesco, port loin, game hen, raspberry pavlova, huckleberry tart. What could be better?

We were in Ashland recently (September, 2016) to attend performances at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. One evening before a performance we ate at Amuse and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. It is a small, well-managed establishment that is quiet, to boot! Our appetizers were Grilled Prawns with Romesco Sauce that were flavorful and perfectly cooked and a... More

Really well-prepared food - grilled prawns with smokey white beans and delicious aioli, superb arugula salad, succulent pork chop, exquisite wild huckleberry tarte - plus a fine glass of Lemelson Pinot noir made for a delightful evening. Good service, not unduly pricey for a dinner of this quality. Only downside: a couple third-rate complimentary cookies at the very end, when... More

We go there every year when we come up from San Francisco for theater. We think it's the best restaurant in town and last week's meal didn't disappoint. It's very close to the theaters. The menu is not large, but everything we tried was good. We'll be back.

Sometimes a restaurant is just trying to hard and Amuse falls into this category for us. Pretentious, a bit stuffy, and ity bity plates. If the food had been out of this world, I could have forgiven all, but that simply wasn't the case. The food was respectable, and we enjoyed the fare, but didn't find it a fair price... More

This was a great choice for our 40th wedding anniversary. Nothing was amiss. Perfectly prepared food from the amuse right through the dinner course. Everything was presented beautifully. Service was impeccable. We would happily return.

Convenient for theatre- upscale. Service was so-so--did not even ask if we wanted a drink or wine before dinner.

There is at least one restaurant in Oregon where the wait staff serves you with quiet efficient professionalism, without exclaiming "Perfect!" every time you make a menu choice, where the food is beautifully prepared and presented without being pretentious, where the ambience is pleasant and subdued, and you can actually have a conversation with your dinner companions at a normal... My friends who live in Ashland suggested this restaurant. We went after the early dinner crowd going to plays. Glad we did, it was spendy, but the selection and service are excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.
