Dinner in the outside patio is wonderful on a warm evening. Staff very good and food is excellent. Good wine selection and knowledgeable servers. Seating a bit rustic otherwise I would have rated it excellent in all categories. Plus points - not recommended for vegans....More

We started with an order of pickled vegetables and were wowed by the salt cod fritters. Several of us ordered the rib-eye steak and were not disappointed as it was cooked too specifications. The accompanying onion rings deserve to be featured on their own. They...More

I sampled this as part of the "Taste of Ashland" event on April 28, 2019. I tried both their Pickled Deviled Eggs and their Pork Sausage Rolls & House-made Worcestershire Sauce. Both items were over salted and didn't really have a 'wow' factor for me.

We tried the outdoor dining at Smithfields before going to the theatre. The space is very comfortable, shady and on this evening warm enough well into the evening. The menu is the same as indoors but outdoor dining is clearly preferred in good weather. The...More

So, they have a restaurant, which is pro meat and tasty. The space needs a little more sound proofing, as it can be a bit noisy. But, food and drinks are tasty. They also have a pub across the street, which is great. They serve...More

We came in for dinner before the evening show and this place is perfect. We had a couple of starters, highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. The fried chicken was delicious and the mashed potatoes creamy yummy. My friend with the duck really didn’t care for...More

Our innkeeper recommended this place and they were right. We had a better meal than the lovely downtown hotel restaurant we tried the first night and cost was less. I'd fully recommend going!

My mother would be so proud... I ate the white anchovies on the Caesar salad! I am a professed hater of the little salty fishes, but on the grilled salad they were smoky and just lovely. The cocktails were well crafted with a nice selection...More

After shopping the Main Street in Ashland I located where my husband had parked while waiting for me. He was conveniently parked in the community parking lot below Smithfields. I called for a 5:00 pm reservation and when we arrived, we were seated by the...More

Hi, HazelHB. I remember that it was pretty warm the last time that we were there. I don't think that they have A/C, and if they do, it's not a powerful unit. Hope this helps!
