I've had dinner at Smithfield's before, and it was good. A friend recently went there for brunch and raved about it. So, I decided to meet a friend there to give it a try. The menu selection for brunch is good. I decided to order...More

Smithfields is a no-frills restaurant. There are no tablecloths on the tables, and it is a little noisy; but that is because the food is good and reasonably priced, so it is always filled.

The menu was great! The food was interesting and tasty. Managing an underprepared chicken dish tells allot about a restaurant. Indifference by the staff, no attention by the management and a twenty minute wait for a replacement order. Fifteen minutes between visits by my waiter....More

Upon approach, Smithfield's restaurant might seem a little dated but upon entry, it is a very comfortable relaxing atmosphere with pleasant unrushed personnel.

I'd seen the photo posted on fb from Smithfields of their ling cod dinner. Another Ashland restaurant posted theirs the same day. Smithfields ling cod arrived on some puree of celery root & potato with lobster mushrooms. I'd never had lobster mushrooms. These were tough....More

Great food, prepared by a skilled and energetic kitchen, is brought swiftly and cheerfully by an eager staff. The meat is a carnivore’s dream; the side dishes and fish and chips are exceptional! Two blocks from the theatre!

Went to dinner with my daughter and had the lamb porterhouse and lemon chicken. Both were good. Porterhouse was a little tough but that's lamb for ya. Chicken was tasty. Good selection of beers, wine and cocktails. Can't say the same for the sides. Needed...More

Hi, HazelHB. I remember that it was pretty warm the last time that we were there. I don't think that they have A/C, and if they do, it's not a powerful unit. Hope this helps!
