Delicious. I had a wonderful bouillabaisse chock full of prawns, muscles, fish and clams in a very tomatoey broth. Only complaint would be that it would have been nice if bread had been toasted. My partner had had delicious chicken breast with vegies and mushrooms. The cucumber watetmelon salad quite good also. Very good service

We stumbled upon the Loft Restaurant when we were looking for a nice restaurant with outdoor seating that would allow dogs. They gladly seated us and our dog on the rooftop patio. It was a beautiful patio right next to the creek. We ordered the moules frites which was absolutely delicious and the bouillabaise. The setting was beautiful and relaxing.... More

My son and I dined here tonight. I was hesitant trying a new place when my family and I are partial to our "favorite place". Plus it did not help that you really have to look for the door and follow the signs to find the actual restaurant. Having said this, my son and I were very pleased with our... More

I noticed a few recent reviewers have not been as impressed, but in our latest visit, Loft again proved to be the best restaurant for miles around. This facility is so ideally Ashland in character, with both an interesting old small inside dining room and an outside deck overlooking the creekside park and walkway (but not a road, thankfully). It... More

We have returned to the Loft after several years, and our first review is still valid. Fantastic preparation of the food and wonderful, attentive service. This time we had lunch there on the outside terrace. What a magical spot above the foot traffic of Calle Gunajuato and the creek. I can't figure for the life of me why there were... More

Imaginative preparations and ingredients, a fine bar, locally sourced everything and a deft hand in the kitchen. Friendly, attentive service (that was there when needed, but not doting). We sampled the summer tomato salad, with cucumber, watermelon, feta cheese and a tasty herb vinegrette. I ordered specials only - a wonderful sweet corn chowder, drizzled with paprika oil - yummm...... More

A perfect lunch of escargots in a tasty pesto sauce, followed by a Niçoise salad with a great seared tuna, made for a perfect lunch before seeing a play. The rest of my family was equally pleased with their selections.

The Loft Brasserie on the plaza in Ashland is a cool place to drink and dine. The ambiance is romantic and visually impressive with several indoor and patio settings. The food is very good and served hot and fresh. But, the great people who work there are what makes it special. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

The menu descriptions looked wonderful. When the food arrived it was unremarkable. The salads were edible but flavorless. Great if you like lots of lettuce and little else. Crab cakes were just okay. The Tarte Lyonnaise was good but oily. The Soupe A L'Oignon tasted burnt not carmalized. The burnt taste overpowered all other flavors. The staff was friendly &... More

Ashland never disappoints when it comes to dining choices and the Loft is no exception. Great food, very attentive staff and a great location. We will definitely be back.
