When you have a restaurant in a town where everything revolves around getting people comfortably to their show by 8pm, you need to staff in order to do that. This place, as far as we can tell, doesn't. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, had to stuff it down in 15 minutes and flee.

I do not like sushi, I have never really liked fish. However; I took a risk. The sushi that I had was amazingly prepared. It was artfully prepared right in front of me. They have a nice little bar right in front of the sushi chefs. Gorgeous environment with wonderful sounds and smells from the kitchen. Would definitely return, and... More

Really fresh fish and delightful presentation at a reasonable price for sushi. This visit , running late after a long drive, we were thwarted in our effort to eat at another place and arrived late with "Hamlet" due to begin in 55 minutes. No problem, they found us a table and promptly served us (without seeming to rush). The location... More

We chose Kobe for a last minute dinner because of its location overlooking the river. The staff is delightful and helpful. I typically eat sushi at least once a week. Unfortunately, the sushi served at Kobe is not consistent with their excellent staff and beautiful outdoor setting. My tuna and yellow tail nigiri seemed dry and not as fresh as... More

Was a little disappointing this visit. The tempura vegetables did not have the batter completely cooked. The sushi was a little bland. The Yakuza roll was very good. The Mochi was excellent - Mango, Tea, and Berry flavor.

Overall nice restaurant. Nice outdoor seating. Food is well prepared and good tasting. Portions are medium in size. Location is a bit hard to find.

My daughter and I went to Kobe as part of the "Spacation" deal through the Plaza hotel. We had vegetarian sushi rolls which were really good. My cocktail was great and the restaurant was packed but the service was great. We would go back.

We made reservations Saturday for a Sunday dinner. Arrived early and were seated outside. There was nothing available inside. It was comfortable as they have heating units outside. Service was SLLLOOOOWWW and it was not overly busy. My waitress was flippant and not the most friendly lady. We enjoyed our soup and the rolls were delicious. Would have ordered more... More

We stopped by in Ashland Oregon on our road trip from Seattle to Bishop CA. We really wanted sushi and so when we found this place we were delighted. The sushi was of a high standard, the service was very good and the atmosphere and vibe were good too. Dont miss out and try it!

Was looking for a Japanese restaurant and decided to try Kobe. The ambiance was inviting. Started out with some Sake and California Rolls. The Sushi menu did not have my favorite and very popular Ebi (shrimp) sushi...a disappointment. The California Roll order was full, and more then enough.

Thank Larry L
