Food was simply amazing, especially for someone, like me, with food sensitivities! I’d recommend it to everyone!!!

Ordered chicken dish that included mostly mac and cheese, a small, thin sliced half chicken breast, and a few green beans. Food was good but no better than average and didn't show any imagination. Pretended in a bowl it was hard to cut the meat....Service was friendly but inconsistent. Atmosphere ok.More
awesome fresh lunch, creative and unique. Stopped in on a quiet Friday for late lunch, like 2:30 Really really enjoyed the goat cheese medallion salad, and pistachio encrusted grouper. The jacaima slaw was fresh and crispy, and unique and colorful. the fish was moist, soft...and yet crispy on the outside, it was perfect. It was paired with this vanilla sauce but had a Tang and it was perfectly paired. Their goat cheese balls have amazingly soft and crunchy hush puppies exterior with gooey sweet like goat cheese inside that was just fabulous. The salad was fresh. We were very impressed with the freshness of the lunch. The only thing they can do differently was ask the staff to clean the floors after a busy lunch hour which showed. Looking forward to our next visit already.More
I ordered take out from the on line menu. The Reuben made sense which came with your choice of simple salad or French Fries for 11.00 When placing the order, I asked the person who was obviously the order taker a question about the prep....He had no idea. Then upon picking up my order there were no utensils, napkins, or French fries. I asked about this and a server immediately had the fries made and provided me with the utensils. I was told fries didn’t come with the sandwich however that is not what the menu states This is my third time at Melissa’s. I won’t be going back.More
The food is really good, however, the service is touch and go. The calamari as well as the goat cheese salad are exceptional and as far as sandwiches, they have one of the best Ruben sandwiches around.
Stopped by for brunch on Saturday based on a Google search for a cafe. My wife's omelette was very good and the side of fried potatoes was excellent. The buttermilk pancakes were also good. The belgian waffles seemed to be encrusted in sugar, and were...too sweet to finish. The fried eggs were cooked a little less than requested. Service staff could be a little more attentive -- it was slow, without any sense of urgency, even though the restaurant was not packed by a long shot.More
They made our salads to order and they were tasty but we waited about 30 minutes on a slow day.....for salads.
My mom and I visited at lunchtime on a Monday. Admittedly, it was a school holiday, so it may have been busier than usual, but I would think a restaurant would anticipate that and plan accordingly, though it did not really seem that busy and...we were seated immediately. There were only two servers on duty, and what appeared to be a manager wiping tables and seating people. The server was friendly, but not at all attentive. We waited a long time for her to take our order, to refill our coffee, to bring our check, to see if we wanted dessert. After we ordered, it was a VERY long time before the food arrived. We ended up being there two hours for soup and salad for me, and sautéed vegetables for my mom, and dessert. And - it is expensive - $44 for the food listed above! And it was only just ok food, and the desserts were cold, seemingly straight out of the refrigerated display case. We are not in a hurry to go back.More
On a recent business trip to Avon, my team decided to try this restaurant for a casual lunch. After reviewing the menu online and with Trip Advisors recommendation, we were sure it would be a great choice! We were not disappointed! The menu left us...wondering what to select, as each dish sounded interesting and delicious. We opted for the fried brussel sprouts, the warm goat cheese salad, and the pulled pork risotto. Wow!! It was all so yummy! Glad we went early for lunch that day because we left, the place was packed! Can’t wait to return for a glass of wine and more delicious food!More
Wife and friend met at cafe for dinner and to chat it up, she said she would bring something home and I chose the Reuben. The menu boasted LEAN corned beef. it was full of fat and not good. This was a poorly constructed sandwich...and left a lot to be desired for the eleven dollar cost. This is the second time I am reviewing Mellissa's. there will not be a third.More
I can't rate the food because we were never able to get any. We sat at our table for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged or provided a glass of water while others who arrived after us were having their orders taken. Maybe it...was just one bad server but it was enough to turn us off as first-time visitors. We left, with no desire to return.More
Recently had lunch on the patio with a girlfriend. The inside of the cafe is 100% on trend with the current farmhouse style. Inside the look is not what you expect to see based on the outside of the building. It's very charming! They seemed...busy when we arrived, but we opted for patio dining, which was nice and private, we had the entire patio to ourselves. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The menu had a nice variety of choices. I paid around $10 for my salad, which I feel like is average. However, this was no average salad. It was HUGE, FRESH, & DELICIOUS. This is a great spot for lunch with friends or family.More
Great place for lunch or dinner...don't miss their signature Brussels Sprouts appetizer! Wide range of options for those who are health-oriented.
We had reservations for Father's Day. Upon arrival we were directed to a table literally in front of the kitchen. We spent the entire time with serving staff carrying food around and sometimes over us. The kitchen must have had a major meltdown as it...took over 1 1/2 hours for us to get our food and then it came out one dish at a time. The server was extremely nice and apologized several times. The "manager" stood around doing nothing, not once did he apologize for the slow service. A very disappointing experience.More
This local restaurant offers a healthy creative menu. My client and I enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana and roasted vegetable salad. The service was excellent, and we look forward to our next visit.
