Our pitcher of Margaritas was more sour than normal but it was the best part of the meal because the Ceviche was disappointing and the Sopa de Mariscos was little more than dirty water with a few pieces of seafood thrown in

We have been to El Camino well over twenty times and always great food and service. We love to sit on the patio in the summer time. Also, have sat in the bar area on some evenings and great happy hour prices. Also love to...get take out as well. Great tacos!!!!More
MUCHAS GRACIAS KEVIN! it made us so happy to see your review. We hope to be serving you on the patio soon!
I recently took my elderly mother out for a day of shopping. Midday, we needed lunch but were unfamiliar with the area. As we were looking for somewhere to eat, we happened to pass El Camino. We're both from Texas and are always up for...trying a new Mexican restaurant, so we pulled in. Our experience was quite lovely. Here is what we enjoyed. There are no screens in El Camino. Restaurants filling their dining rooms with screens is a personal pet peeve. In El Camino, you can view the beautiful papel picado and colorful decor, have a conversation, and enjoy your meal without the onslaught of a television. Thank you, El Camino! Service was quite lovely. Our server was quiet and busy, but she took very good care of us with no fuss. She refilled glasses and asked if everything was in order. Chips and salsa were brought quickly. Meals were delivered quickly as well. Great service is definitely something you can count on at El Camino. Our food was wonderful! Yes, we were on the early side of lunch that day. But, even as the restaurant filled up, the plates coming out of the kitchen looked colorful and tasty. We saw families, couples, and older people as well. From what we observed, El Camino has loyal, local following. For the size of our meals, excellent service, and attractive furnishings (bathroom is brand new, spotless, very nice), I felt that the prices were quite fair. Also, I love supporting locally owned and operated businesses, which I assume that this one is. To find a Mexican restaurant of this quality in this location was such a surprise! The next time we are shopping in the area, I'll definitely be back. Mexican food is my favorite and El Camino does a great job of serving authentic food to its guests. Please see the photos of our meals and the dining area. You definitely need to give El Camino a try. I'm sure that you will enjoy your visit.More
BLTurpin, we had so much fun reading your review! Thank you for your kind words and very well written comments.
Moved into area looking for a good Mexican restaurant. Server friendly but not too informative as to what they liked best on menu. We tried a variety of items. Salsa was ok and chips could have been served warmed. Would gave been better. For basic...Mexican it was an average dining experience. Had enchiladas, quesadilla, steak dish, tacos and chimichanga. Have ventured to surrounding communities and found a better Mexican restaurant in Solon.More
Very good, authentic Mexican cuisine - wide variety of items on the menu. Good prices and great service.
Very noisy. Service was fine. i ordered the chicken fajitas. Chicken was chewy and overcooked, Flour tortillas were cardboard like. Rice was mushy. Ate 1 1/2 fajitas and a few forks of rice. Ordered iced tea and the only sweetener besides sugar was Equal. Husband...had tacos which were okay but he said Taco Bell's were better. Paid $34.00 for a few bites of food. No one asked how our food was. Don't know where the good reviews come from.More
Thank you for your comments Penny! We are looking into the problems you spoke of and will make corrections where possible.
My wife and I had dinner at El Camino. We started with their house margaritas. They were very good. The complimentary chips and salsa was very good also. The salsa was ric and tasty and the chips were fresh. My wife ordered steak fajitas. The...serving was absolutely huge, but, very tasty. I ordered a steak, chicken, chorizo, onions, red pepper and cheese combination. It was good, but, I liked the fajitas better.More
We have eaten or taken out food here for the last few years- always great authentic Mexican food! Never had a bad experience here
Good Mexican food here. Fairly standard menu compared to other mexican restaurants. Nice big patio if you can get out there in the summer. Lot's of margaritas disappear out there however...
Not sure what has changed with El Camino? We spent almost two hours at a family dinner that used to take 45 minutes. We were a table of ten but have seen other large groups in the past be handled easily. The food was good,...just the service speed was clearly lacking on a Thursday night.More
We were seated promptly and ordered quickly. We had the lunch special and it arrived quickly and was piping hot . Delicious food and good service at a very reasonable price. You won't go wrong dinning here !!
OK, I have been to most of the local Mexican places in the area and this one is just “OK” ... not saying its bad ... just OK. If you go the service is really good and the food comes out fast ... the best...part of the meal was The guacamole... really tasty! Enjoy!More
I am a Spanish teacher & have eaten Mexican food in Mexico & in the USA. Not all Mexican restaurants here in the States are very good, but El Camino is. It has a very pleasant outdoor patio in the back, which is where my...friends & I always opt to dine. It is a popular spot in Aurora, especially on Friday afternoons. The bar is very busy then as well as the food service!More
We’ve been here a few times. Typical Mexican food choices. Always made as expected. Service was frequent always asking how we’re doing and getting refills. We will go back.
We live in the general area. Maybe 40 min away. We were on our way to Aurora Farms Outlets and decided to stop for lunch! So glad we did. A bit of a drive but will definitely return. The charro beans were to die for...and a nice change from refried. Which they also have. I had a fajita burrito and the meat and veggies were cooked to perfection.More
