Their salsa verde is tasty. Service is slow but worth the wait. The servings are huge. No tip required.

We arrived after 7:00 pm and were told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. The time went quickly in the bar drinking one of several beer selections. We were shown to our table and our waiter Leo took our orders. My wife ordered the quesadillas and I had dinner platter #4, two rolled enchiladas, one with pulled... More
The quesadillas I ordered after a hike hit the spot, as good as any I've had in any Mexican restaurant anywhere. This restaurant prides itself in using local ingredients and in a no-tipping policy. Definitely worth a visit.
Everyone in town told us to go there. They said it's the restaurant of the people where everyone has a part in it. They didn't say it feels like the food is done by amateurs. The plates aren't clean. It doesn't look professional. And doesn't taste good. I would say it feels like people go there as its a place... More
Great atmosphere any time of day. Breakfast is always on point, lunch and dinner is always fulfilling. The vegetarian and vegan options can't be beat, and the chicken and beef options are locally sourced and grass-fed. Local and small brewery craft-brews on tap and the cocktails (especially the inhouse-made vodka cocktails and margharitas) are superb. Great live music (you may... More
Food very fresh. Clean restaurant. We went for lunch and it was basically order at the bar, bring your own drinks to your table and pick up food at the window when the bell rang so it was a lot more casual than we're used to. We even brought our dishes from the table to a bus tray and our... More
Our second time eating at CV. Not fancy, but the food is quite good and the margaritas are average. The prices are reasonable. The do have a DJ on the weekends so the bar area can get loud and crazy. Overall it is a decent place to eat. It won't Wow you but you should have S good time.
We chose to skip the half hour wait and went to the bar to eat dinner there. It was busy pit not packed. We sat for 15 mi utes and were completely ignored by the staff. Ended up leaving. Disappointed because the food has great reviews.
We visit Casa Nueva with every visit to Athens. Fresh and inventive, and something for everyone. I always like the seasonal vegetables.
