We have been coming to Grandpa's for years. Love the selection of cheeses and smoked meats. My favorite though is the Amish habanero pickles. There are plenty of samples to try before you buy.Next door is Sweeties with chocolates, fudge, licorice, and candies galore. It can get crowded especially in the summertime..go early or during the week but do stop.

Could barely walk thru this place but worth it. You can taste everything from cheese chunks to cheese spreads and jams and jellies. Loved the cheeses we bought. Next door is homemade chocolates that are also very good. The chocolate samples aren't as plentiful as the cheese samples and they go fast! Definitely worth the stop.

I live about 30 minutes from here and had never visited until yesterday. What a wonderful place. The barn is filled with gifts, all kinds of snacks, dips ,mixes, locally made items (syrup, honey, jelly) and of course, cheese! Everything can be sampled before purchasing. They have great gift boxes in all price ranges and will make them to order.... More

This is always one of our favorite stops on the way from KY to PA and vice versa. Great snacks, free samples, small menu for lunch that includes great soups, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, and hotdogs and homemade ice cream for dessert. We always leave with a bag full of snacks.....dip mixes, cheeses, jellies, marinades, beef sticks, etc. Be sure to... More

Grandpa's is always a must stop in my old hometown and if you like cheeses, pickles, garlics etc-you can't miss it. I'm only a casual cheese fan,so piling up on visits is enough to get me through (try the horseradish) and I'm a huge dilled garlic and mustard eggs fan. The prices can be a bit high and I'm not sure if... More

This is such a great place and perfect photo op for a road trip. To say they have cheese in an understatement. Anything imaginable in the cheese dept. along with meats, snacks, condiments, and a wonderful mom and pop restaurant. We grabbed cheese curds, meat sticks, pretzels and a great little buckeye snack mix for the road. The atmosphere and... More

I am not sure about the Ashland store...but just an example..Ham off the bone cost $6.95 LB!!! Cheese prices are high as well. I just came from the Country Hilltop Market in Rittman, OH ...only 12 miles away from this Norton business and the cost was $2.50 LESS PER LB!! I have to say the Country Hilltop Market in Rittman,...
