Food was great. Joining the waitlist on-line works well also. Took quite a while to get our food, but it was very good.

First time visiting last week and so glad I live close by! Food was fabulous. The rest of the menu looks so tasty. Staff was super friendly. Great little place.
Food, especially the sausage gravy has gotten even more spicy. However, that is not the problem. The problem is now the service and most of that is not the problem of the staff. This cafe is a VERY small place, so there is very limited...room for people to eat. The biggest issue in the cafe seems to be the customers now. People don't understand the theory of sitting closer to the table to leave more room for other customers. Even with people standing outside waiting, not only weren't people willing to sit a little closer to make more room, they also were in no hurry to open tables for others. We saw many patrons chatting after finishing their meals. You can chat elsewhere, have the decency to let the staff get the table open for others.More
Visited this restaurant for a late breakfast (which they serve all day) and it did not disappoint! The waffles were wonderful with the fruit toppings and the Dan's Barnyard plate with the spicy sausage gravy was AMAZING! I wasn't sure how this breakfast would compare...to our southern style breakfast we are accustomed to but we left very satisfied and full. The small quaint building also contributed to the experience.More
Had lunch there recently after years away. Pleasantly surprised by a more interesting menu. My traditionalist friend enjoyed his cheese burger and fries. I had a nice sandwich. Definitely will return.
Always a pleasure to stop at the Valley Cafe. It can get crowded on weekends; but on a nice day, the outside seating really helps. It's also fun to watch the parade of dogs enjoying the patio scene. The fries are good; but I always...enjoy their fresh chips. They are even better now with thinner slices and a bit less seasoning. If you like bacon (I've heard of some that don't), you can get their Amish Bacon for a bit more in cost. Have never had a bad breakfast. Soup selections are daily and mostly good depending on your taste. Not available in the Cuyahoga Valley but they are again serving dinner at the Wadsworth location. See their web site for days and times.More
The service was good, the potatoes were terrible burnt and cold. This place is not what it is advertised as. Would not go back
Great food at reasonable prices....Banana pancakes are amazing !! The sausage gravy is very good but VERY peppery. Never had anything bad to eat so Im sure you will enjoy any pick you make. Staff always kind.
Rode by this place on the towpath this morning and decided to stop in for lunch. Very nice outside patio, friendly wait staff, timely service and delicious food! Great coffee to boot😃 My husband enjoyed the San Fran Benedict off the specials menu and I...had a BLT and we were very pleased with both dishes. Fresh food with great presentation.More
Was going solo and welcomed warmly. Staff attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Country fried steak tender and moist, fresh fruit and salads, shrimp and grits cakes a speciality. Third time here and plan to be a regular, waitstaff were great. Too much salt however - especially...in the gravy.More
If you like sitting almost shoulder to shoulder with strangers. Food was decent but a bit overpriced. Won’t be going back.
I've eaten at both the Akron and Wadsworth locations and both are excellent. Great food at reasonable prices. Very friendly atmosphere!
We only stopped here briefly for breakfast, but I couldn't ask for more. The staff was super friendly, quick to seat and serve us, and made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious with both unique menu options and the traditional favorites.
On my search of the area for a brunch option I happened to read a few reviews and thought I would give this place a try. And I was NOT disappointed ! First off when arriving we were immediately greeted even though the place was...really busy. While waiting I noticed the owners not just hanging around or barking orders but grabbing plates and cooking food. ( If your wondering that’s important when going to a local place it means the owner is truly invested in the customers satisfaction! ) after being seated and explaining we had never been there before their very helpful staff explained everything from what the specials are to what makes them special. From my first visit I can tell you the coffee is good and the cup kept full, the potatoes fried to perfection, the pancakes I’m told are great and the size of your head and if you are asked to try the breakfast Chimchanga the answer is YES! We had a great conversation with the owner who is truly proud to serve the people in the area. I highly reccomend this place and will be back whenever I visit.More
You want good Italian for a good price, then this is your place. This is a good old school type of restaurant. The atmosphere is what makes this place so unique. Go and Enjoy a very Good meal.
