My daughter in law ate at Amos' on a Friday night with only a 30 minute wait. The owner (wish I got his name) was so attentive to all who came through his door. He made everyone feel like a personal friend. The wait staff was great as well. Attention to detail was top notch. I had the local flounder... More

We went there on 4th of July weekend, it was packed. The line was 1.5 hour at least, but the food and service are really good. Worth going!

Food was the highlight, beer yummy, service great, fake spanish moss, and sound of nature in ladies room aka a pretend outhouse - the best. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Too bad I live in Maryland, not North Carolina! We had an hour wait - and it went fast with good company and drinks in the bar! Worth the... More

Fantastic food, but get ready to wait for a table unless you come right as they open at 5pm. I had a wonderful filet and crab cake plate, my wife had a great grouper on pasta (was a special). Had to have the smores at the end which was a fun treat. Great staff, delicious food - if you hit... More

Great fresh seafood. Friendly service: I think her name tag said "Butter Bean". My niece loved the little tabletop S'mores experience. Giggled at the night sounds in the bathroom including a buzzing mosquito sound.

Had lots of great seafood at our table....lobster dip, calamari....but the fried oysters & scallops were the absolute best. Almost melt in your mouth. Super fresh. A little pricey for the portions but delish!

We waited for 45 minutes on a weeknight, and some people had to wait over an hour. They seemed excessive to me but maybe that is a tribute to their food. They have limited entrees and once we were seated our food arrived in a reasonable time. We had the filet mignon and crabcake, and it was delicious. "Sweetie pie"... More

Amos Mosquito was recommended to us by the young Coast Guards who fired the cannon at Fort Macon (which by the way, is fired on Wednesdays and is very cool). They advised us that we should arrive there early as a line forms before the restaurant even opens. Thankfully we were minutes away and pulled into the parking lot at... More

Amos Mosquito's is a great place to eat on the island if you don't mind a wait. They are always full, but if you are patient, you'll be pleased with the outcome. They have a great menu that offers a variety of dishes from apitizers to main courses. For a beach and tourist town, you can expect moderate to higher... More

The food was quite good, and the ambience was ok. Our server, Peanut, was great. They accommodated a couple of special orders. Desserts really good, and large. I would have given 4.5 stars if I could have, didn't give 5 stars because I thought it was a bit pricey for what is offered. Our local friends say that there is... More

Welcome to Amos Mosquito’s Restaurant & Bar – or more affectionately known by locals as “Skeeter’s”. Established in 1999, Amos Mosquito’s offers a family friendly environment with a menu of fresh seafood and a wide variety of creative entrees. While in our first location on the Morehead City Waterfront, and here in our present location on Atlantic Beach overlooking beautiful Bogue Sound, we’ve had one primary goal in mind – to create the most unique, fun, and high quality dining experience that can be found in Eastern North Carolina. We have a seasoned staff of chefs, servers, and hosts who are passionate about making customers happy. Although we specialize in local seafood and offer at least two varieties of fresh fish every night, our menu also features chicken, pork and Sterling Silver beef.We make all our salad dressings, sauces and desserts in house and have a great children’s menu loaded with fun games and mosquito facts.Thursday nights are sushi nights at Amos Mosquito’s. We offer a full menu of fresh, made to order sushi in addition to our regular menu.Amos has a full bar and a wonderful, reasonably priced wine list.Reservations are not accepted, but you may call us to place an order for take out.
