Service was friendly and great and waitress did all she could to make our lunch experience good, unfortunatley the cook was not part of the team. The 8oz. Hamburger Steak was overcooked and dry, almost tasteless. The sauce that came with it, a combination or 57 and A-1, was the only chance for any flavor for the meat, other than... More

We were visiting family and were from out of town. They took us to Asheboro and had dinner at Dixie III for dinner. This place was so friendly, had quick service and a great selection. The food was so good! This was a casual small restaurant, but had great southern family style food! We will definitely go back on our... More

Asheboro was a mid-point for my husband's family, and we would meet at the Dixie III when someone in the group wanted "southern food." You get a good selection of "southern" cooking to choose from, and everyone usually leaves with full stomachs and no complaints.

First time there with local friends at 7 pm. Very busy and so loud we could hardly talk across our table. Food was nothing special but our server was great.

Many older folks eat here 2x daily. It's home-cooked food and is where many locals eat. The fried chicken is pretty good, as is the hamburger steak.

I used to eat breakfast, more like brunch at the Dixie Restaurant in Asheboro 43 or more years ago right after I got off the air (radio) doing the morning news from 6-9. I had a lot of dinners there as well. It was run by a friend of mine and a great gentleman by the name of Kenyon Davidson.... More

This was my first visit here in a long time. I had stopped eating here a couple of years ago when three times in a row they forgot part of my order at the drive thru. The food was good just like it has always been, but the service was a little slow. But that is probably because they we're... More

This is a reasonable place to eat. It has decent prices and usually pretty packed. It is not open every day, be sure to check hours before you drive far To be honest if I had a choice I would prefer to eat in Asheboro at Magnolia 23 downtown. The food is like home cooking, decent prices and beyond tasty,... More

Delicious southern cooking for an awesome price. Great southern hospitality. Seat yourself when you enter. Unlimited hushpuppies are a definite perk - they are yummy!

This is a real good place to eat. The food is good, the service is real good, the only draw back is if you want to get what you want to eat, you need to get there earl. If you don't, you won't get it. They will run out.

Thank Danny C
