Fun place to sit back and have a drink and the food is amazing. Their Fish Fry is delicious and the Irish spring rolls are amazing and I don’t usually eat Ruebens. Their staff is friendly and prices are great

Friends told us about Doherty's so we decided to try it out. During Covid we decided to have an early dinner on a Saturday to avoid too many people. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The menu was online...or you could view it on paper. They also had specials and a good selection of appetizers, sandwiches and main entrees. My husband opted for the fish and chips which came with two huge pieces of delicious fish. It also had a large portion of coleslaw and fries. I had the turkey avocado sandwich on toasted bread. It was also large, was good but it needed more cranberry aioli.More

Good food and lots of it... so much so that neither of us could finish our meals. Waitress was happy, helpful and attentive... can’t ask for more!

Wife and I have had carry-out 3 times from Doherty's in Apex since the Stay at Home order closed restaurants to in-house seating. Before the shut down order, Doherty's was among our 3 favorite places to eat. Now with the Carry Out service, we have...enjoyed sandwiches which were very good, and excellent Fish and Chips twice, which traveled very well as the fish stayed crispy, just as it was in the restaurant. Fries were very tasty, and the green beans were excellent. Doherty's even customized our last order to limit the chips and add more green beans. We can recommend Doherty's in Apex for great Carry Out food, especially the house specialty, Fish and Chips. And I see they are offering one-time-use Growlers of tap beers for very fair prices as well, which we will try next time.More

Ordered sandwiches during the pandemic. Onion rings were $2.00 upcharge. For nine onion rings, not sure it was worth it.

Great place, employees were friendly, enough TVs to watch some sports, easy to park, will be going back to sit outside when the weather is warmer.

We had an early dinner there while in town on vacation. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. There were a large selection of beers including many locals on draught. The boxty's, sort of a potato pancake filled with either beef, chicken or mushrooms, were...a fantastic appetizer. The brisket nachos were tasty. The shepherd's pie was stellar, some of the best I've ever had. Excellent ratio of meat and mashed potatoes. Delicious. We would absolutely come again, perhaps a bit later in the evening to check out the entertainment.More

We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality at this restaurant. My husband loves Reubens and theirs does not disappoint. Plenty of meat piled high on tasty bread. We went on trivia night and sat in the back room- but it was too difficult to...hear to play the game. Next time- we will sit closer.More

Planned a last minute guys night to hang out at the bar and have some dinner and drinks. Unfortunately, there was a business meet-up taking place in the bar area which basically took up 90% of that space (no fault of business). Of course we...could have sat in a normal table in the other area, however next time we'll probably just call ahead and make sure there will be enough space for our group in the bar area. Because of the business meet-up, the servers seemed a bit frazzled when our group outgrew the booth we were initially in, and we asked to move to a larger table immediately next to us -- as if they didn't know how to handle who would serve us. Overall, our visit was nice, food was pretty good, prices reasonable especially on beer, and both servers wound up being great despite the initial confusion. We'll be back to Doherty's!More

Loved this place. We travel a lot for basketball and we eat late a lot. After a game we needed some food so we stopped in here. The waiter was good, had some wonderful suggestions and very knowledgeable. The full bar helped us relax and...the drinks were great. The fish and chips were spectacular. Golden, crispy, perfect. My wife and I had the special, braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Maybe the best I have ever had. The ribs cooked to perfection, the sauce to die for and just right with the potatoes. Highly recommend.More
