Walk or drive out of downtown Turgutries, about 300m after the Kos ferry (D-Marin) and you'll come across the quaint well-maintained Şevket Sabancı Parkı. Inside the park is a top quality seafood restaurant with a commanding position looking out across the water to the neighbouring...Greek island of Kalymnos. Top tip would be try one of the salads - excellent quality, plentiful and very well presented. A pleasant surprise, and not over-priced too. One to return to on our next trip to Turgutries.More

This year we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary in this venue accompanied by friends doing the same. We arrived to find the restaurant totally empty. We chose our table that provided the best view of the soon to appear sunset. The menu had been...renewed from last year but it offered many of the familiar dishes. Our friends chose sea bass, I opted for the hamburger and chips and my wife, a steak/stew with a great mushroom, pepper and tomato sauce. Our orders of season salad, stuffed mushrooms and borek arrived soon after. Very good tastes!! Mehmet Bey, our waiter, was friendly and professional, well done. Our main dishes tasted very good. In fact the sea bass dishes our friends chose contained genuine sea bass: the whole sea bass fish and not a fillet of Patagonian tooth fish that is passed off as sea bass in the USA and elsewhere. Middle of our meal, one of the co-owners, Bulent Bey, approached and exchanged pleasantries as we know him from before. Also stopping by was Metin Bey, another co-owner, asking how we liked our meal. Very nice touches. Bottom line: Last year I rated this venue as average for food even though the location and seaside views cannot be beat. This year their food rates as Very Good.More

This is a lovely cafe set in Sabanci park in Turgetris. We had simple burger, hellim cheese salad, soup of the day and a Spanish omelette. All came out perfect, we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The Setting is unmissable.

This restaurant nestled in the Sabanci Park in Turgut Reis is our favorite venue for watching sunsets. Very friendly wait staff make up for their inexperience but the head waiter, Erdogan Bey, runs a tight ship. We used to order their season salad, a fish...dish and a few glasses of wine and ZEN at the incredible sunsets over the Greek and Turkish islands. This summer the season salad was so so and so was the fish dish. Fresh and tasting fine but the old charm and tastes were not to be found. But the sunset was super as always and it is a special treat to sit by the water's edge and watch the sailboats break the sun's shimmer on the water as they go by. Bottom line: go for the view and the ambience and do not expect gourmet cooking. And if there are people in neighboring tables expect most of them to smoke as the smoking ban does not apply outdoors.More
