This fish restaurant has great, fresh food, excellent wines and a friendly atmosphere. Only downside is that it is fairly expensive and the decor is very generic fish restaurant (boats, nets). But it is great!

What fish and chips means for British is almost same for fish and raki for Turkish and Tunali Balikcikoy serves one of the best combination with delicious and fresh mezes. But do not have too much meze before the main course since there is always...good alternatives. Balikcikoy is a good restaurant to visit moreover if you are around Tunali and like sea food it is a must.More

This is the first restaurant of Balikcikoy chains... It's very good but the one at Arjantin street is one of the best in town... just read my review about that place..

The food is average, the service is average, the staff is average and the final check is just robbery! You will ask for one raki and pay for 5! Many items not ordered will be on your bill, so if you do not want your...meal messed up, then pass by this bloody restaurant..More

Recommended by local contact. The experience is amazing. Very original approach - don't choose from a formal menu - select starters from a display brought to the table, select your fish from the fresh ones on display. All great food, attentive, somewhat informal and very...helpful service. It is an experience in every way.More

You have to make rezervation and check it before go there. They are very busy and somecan can easily experience confusions. they have 3 restaurant in Ankara. My recommentation is the one in Tunalı Hilmi Street. Mazes (starters) are wonderful. They have some very nice...sea food suit with raki and white wine. They have thier own wine. Fishes are expensive. I recommend to ask prices before order one. It is suiatable for celebrations and casual business dinners.More

Only been in Ankara a week, but one thing I've learnt is that they just love their fish restaurants. This one is probably the most popular as it is just off one of the main drags, and all week has look busy, but tonight I...took the risk..Yes it was busy, but I was quickly seated, menu appeared and order taken quickly. Food was good, tasted fresh, and price wasn't too bad either. Recommended - but my experience of other Ankara fish restaurants is limited.More

I visited this restaurant on 22nd January with my family...I was hoping to have a nice dinner but what a shock...The restaurant was over crowded. It took ages for the waiters to bring our orders..Almost every time the wrong order came...and wrong time..before the cold starters...some worm starters or during the main course we had our second hot starters..The food was average nothing special..We ordered some Tekir Tava and the fish came un-cooked..Can you believe it ...Fried fish and still blood on it...The funniest (!!) one was about the wine...We were drinking Cote de Avanos..A very nice white Turkish wine..We finshed the first bottle and waiting the second one to be opened..All of a sudden (he was not the waiter but he looks like a manager) brought to one of us a glass of white wine..We asked what is this and told him we are waiting our bottle to be opened..He told us ''This is a glass of Angora and since we also asked a white wine this should do it'' can you believe this...It is a shame they had so many guests and none of the guests looked disturbed about their bad manners and bad service...Ohh by the way during the couple of hours we've been there they played all sorts of different musics and there were many TV's open like a sports bar and broadcasting many different Football matches...The night was a total failuere...More
