The food in Cafe Ysabel is satisfactory to say the least and I found some of the dishes on the salty side. Here are a list of dishes we tried: - Caesar Salad was very soggy - Cheese Pizza was good. If I do go back it will be for the pizza. - Carbonara was too salty - Salpicao was... More

Café Ysabel is a local landmark and legendary name in the Philippine culinary setting started as a neighborhood bistro in the muffled Wilson Street in San Juan, Manila in the early 1980’s. The restaurant features an alluring and endearing atmosphere and is like moving back the guests’ imagination to something familiar time and places from long ago. Sometimes, it looks... More

Had high expectations upon visiting this place.food came around 45 minutes after we ordered considering the restaurant was almost empty.found 3 strands of hair in our pasta and quickly sent it back to the kitchen.no apologies were made from the wait staff and kitchen.is this how this place train chefs? coz we were expecting somebody to at least compensate for... Cafe Ysabel has been around for a long time. It has gotten bigger but the food has remained pretty much the same. The place is good for groups of friends who want to enjoy good food and lingering over dinner. The food, though, is not as consistent as it used to be. Before, anything we ordered would be great. That... More

Cafe Ysabel is one of those old restaurants that has maintained the quality of their food and service all these years. Their menu kept the classic dishes and incorporated new delights which will make their customers, both old and new, faithful to the restaurant.

If your looking for a quiet place where you can have long conversations with family and friends, Cafe Ysabel is the place to go. Food is great and servers are very attentive. My only comment is that its a tad dark in the dining area though especially on evening hours

I called Cafe Ysabel at around 8AM and asked if we can be accommodated before lunch on Mother's day. We are lucky enough and was given a table for 2. When we arrived a little before 11:30 AM, I asked for our table and gave the male staff my name. We stood there for a couple of minutes, before ushering... More

I've been dining in this resto since I was a kid. That's about 18 years already. The place remains the same throughout all those years. Having said that more than the restaurant bringing nostalgia (like what you'd experience in vigan), the hotel strikes me as eerie. Even if you want a Spanish-era theme, you need to do some improvement. Food... More

Dropped by with friends for coffee at about 3 pm. I remember Cafe Ysabel during its heyday and it was Chef Gene Gonzales's flagship resto. The place is a gracious old house with stained windows and wood cut-outs on the wall. Unfortunately, The room was dark and the waiters were slow. The coffee was okay and the sansrival buttery but... My family and I have great memories about Cafe Ysabel but dining there last week was a big disappointment. The staff were so occupied serving the table of the owner and his guests that other customers were left unattended. It took more than an hour for our food to be served. The Oysters Rockefeller were still great but the Lengua... More
