Ate lunch on a Tuesday. Restaurant was nearly at full capacity. Prompt, efficient service. Had the fried rice, chicken viceroy and the sweet and sour pork - all were good. Reasonably priced. Table was still somewhat dirty from previous guests (crumbs and flakes from egg rolls?) but added to the charm of the place. I'd go back.

Good place to get Chinese food. The service is fast and parking is available. The waitress who took our order was very knowledgeable of the food. The place is also kid-friendly. The toilets are clean.

All over Manila, Emerald has been known for decades for its "siopao espesyal" - a cha-siu-bao type dumpling but gigantic, and filled with a variety of compressed meats and sausages. As of about 4 years ago (last time I had it), it was still excellent. But on my visit yesterday, this item was a serious let-down. It was edible, but... More

I was taken there by two employees of the local office we co-operate in Philippines who told me that is one of the good restaurants for Chinese food. However, it was a total disappointment. Service was bad and seemed to me rude, the table was dirty .....had not cleaned it properly from the previous ones, and the food was just... More

I went there for lunch with my family and was disappointed with the food. It was not that good anymore. The place was still crowded as it was way back before but it's hot and the place was not clean. Service was not good also.

The family used to visit this place every month. I had my engagement party here, food was great. But its not anymore. My fave were the taro dessert, hot cuts and crab.

If you're craving Chinese food while in Ermita, Manila then Emerald Garden is the place. Large menu with three size portions for every entree. Small is plenty big for one person. We ordered Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet and Lemon Chicken. Both tasted great but other dishes ordered at other tables around us also looked fantastic.
