If you intend to eat at this fantastic brunch buffet which is only available on Sundays, please make your reservations early to avoid disappointment as they are really popular and full almost every weekends. The variety may not be as wide as other Japanese buffet in town but the of superb quality and taste. Personal favourites include the saft shell... More

OK, i order Kobe premium with Wagyu Foie gras/seared sea urchin ( Japanese beef) with RM325.90 (plus 10% service fee and 6 GST). It is not bad but certainly not the best or even worth the money. I tried same type of beef in Japan many different cities and best i had is in Tokyo. Here in Shangari-la, i paid... More

We went to the place for Sunday's brunch buffet. The salmon sashimi tasted divine. I particularly loved their prawn tempura. Large and fresh prawns. In addition, the chef at the teppanyaki counter was really nice and helpful. The dish tasted great as well. Their garlic fried rice tastes so so but their grill salmon head was really delicious as well... More

Nice cosy restaurant with friendly service. Fresh Japanese foods with wide choices. Highly recommend the dish, Gyutongue Wafu.

After having posted a very negative review of the hotel's Japanese restaurant a few months ago, I decided to give it a new try on this visit. Nothing has changed : after being ushered to a table and given the menu, it was impossible to attract a staff member attention in a restaurant half-empty. I left after twenty minutes of... More

I hosted a dinner for 3. The restaurant manager was excellent. He recommended the dishes and when we were over ordering, he advise that we have enough. He created a platter of sashimi, a platter of tempora. We also had excellent grilled Salmon and a platter of mixed sushi. We also had other dishes and all were served with respect... More

I have dined here a few times for dinner. The setting at night time is fantastic and recommended for a little romance. The food is magical and we particularly enjoyed a few pots of warm sake.

Sushi buffet was so bad as staff ate dishes after 2.30pm despite many guests' presence in the restaurant. Furthermore, sushi served there is much different from a photograph shown in the hotel advertisement. (There was no salmon roe sushi at all.) Although the price was very reasonable, U had better go to other sushi restaurants! This restaurant shall not be... More

We love to come here for the delicious food and good service, although during our last visit, they seemed to be short staffed and were slow to refill our tea. We love the sashimi which we found to be really fresh. Sushi was well presented too. Assorted cooked food like unagi finished fast and were quickly replenished. Desserts were most... More
