Was my first time having raw fish on a plate and having to put them into the porridge. Was an interesting experience and I thought that the portion of fish was quite reasonable for its price. The porridge was also very smooth. Certainly a plus...More

The friendly hostess came out to take our order. She states ‘I have been here 70 years’ which came a retort “You don’t look a day past 21 years’. Through word of mouth, this little ‘makan place’ was nestled off Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur....More

Go for an early breakfast to enjoy the steaming congee in the cool of the mornning. The congee arrives instantly with a plate of raw sliced carp fish. Hon Kee is the iconic fish porridge in the Klang valley.

Ordered the chicken tight and sliced fish porridge. The chicken thigh was absolutely delicious and I’ll highly recommend it. It’s tender, juicy and extremely flavourful. The sauce - some mix of fried scallions, sesame oil and light soy sauce - goes very well with the...More
