Cilantro is a fine dining restaurant where you can enjoy some Japanese food cooked with French techniques. The wine list is a plus and the lunch formula is worth it

Still probably one of the best fine dining places in town with good food prepared to a reasonably consistent formula with nice creative touches. But it is definitely pricey so reserve for corporate entertainment or very special occasions. The restaurant itself needs a stylish facelift as it is looking tired with faded elegance. Service is still very good.

We drove 20 miles there, based on the strength of the menu, mainly monkfish & lamb shank. Neither were available because the menu has changed. We were told pangasius is the same quality as monkfish. This is absolute rubbish, it's from the Mekong river and is tasteless and watery (and cheap), whereas monkfish is an upmarket delicous fish. Very disappointing,... More

The venue for the hotel where Cilantro is located was not the easiest to find as Micasa Hotel is snuggled in the midst of several other newer high-rise buildings. We were fortunate enough to be led to the restaurant from one of the car park entrances whom we coincidentally bumped into. Seated and eager to try out the highly acclaimed... More

Excellent Restaurant of the same level of the best ones in towns, Chynna, Sage. Fetuccini's with sea urchins exelent! Unagi with foie gras very rare combination, excellent, crab risotto excelent. Have to improve the deserts. Excelent wine list, and excellent Somelier.

My first visit after a long time. Love their Friday's lunch menu. Cilantro has set lunches on Fridays and set dinners other days. Closed Sundays. First up, Capellini Spring Seafood, a wonderfully prepared starter with springy angel hair pasta, topped with fresh salmon and calamari. Two bites to finish, and I'm on to the entreé, Scallops on Morell sauce which... More

Had a wonderful meal at Cilantro last night. We haven't been back in awhile so it was a lovely treat to go back. The restaurant itself is a bit tired and dated. Could do with a serious revamp. The food is delicious, however even though it was only a third full they had 1 dish of Unagi and foie gras... More

Cilantro is the very best of restaurants, one of the finest in Kuala Lumpur - and that means up there ŵith the top ones worldwide.I've been lucky enough to eat there several times, but always till now for dinner. A recent lunch trip highlighted the quality of the place. Many of its patrons have clamoured for a lunch opening and... More

Went here for dinner. The food was good. We ordered a glass of wine each. The glasses of wine were brought to the table without the waiter/floor manager(French) first showing us the bottle. So, I sent him back downstairs to bring the bottle so that I could see the details. He could have poured us a cheep red for all... More

Lamb rack was not bad but for supposedly the best fine Dining restaurant in KL , we are way behind our neighbors, service was poor and the toilets smell worst than coffee shops (i kid u not!)...expectations are high since this is a 5 star restaurant! best dish was their home made truffle butter.... we were in the private room...
