My wife and I had not been to this restaurant for about two years. We decided that a visit was appropriate. The place was three quarters empty when we walked in for lunch recently. The receptionist who greeted us was polite, friendly and helpful when...we arrived. The menu seemed to have been revised and looked very interesting indeed. We started with an intriguing dish: Summertime Salad. The salad tasted as good as it looked in the menu.It was small tomatoes, a few pieces of squid and a few prawns and lovely vege. My wife went for the Curry Laksa which came with chicken, fish balls, tau foo and other ingredients. My wife specifically mentioned that she only wanted the thigh of the chicken .........not any other piece! The waiter nodded his understanding but when the dish came, it was with breast meat! My wife was really disappointed with this lack of professionalism by an apparently absent minded waiter. The curry laksa however was delicious. I did not want chicken in my curry laksa so I asked the waiter to check with the chef whether he could substitute it with prawns and squid. The chef readily obliged. For drinks we had a Guinness Stout and warm water. And for desert, we went for the decadent chendol with Bailey liquer! It was wonderful.More

I have been coming to Souled-Out since 2013. I have seen this restaurant change and adapt its menu and grow to include more branches in Kuala Lumpur. I am loyal to the Sri-Hartmas branch. Reservations are easy and we are always welcomed with a smile...(in heavy rainstorms, staff will get you from your car to you table under courtesy umbrellas). The service is great, and we are always looked after by the very kind Mr. Sabbir. Food is reasonably priced and your choices go from delicious local Malaysian noodles (e.g. char kway teow) for very affordable prices to hearty Indian sets (e.g. butter chicken that comes with naan, mixed veggies, rice etc for about RM 25 (USD 5.8 or GBP 4.7). They also do pizzas, pastas, light bites and an amazing range of Aussies steaks (also very reasonably priced). As a long standing patron, I cannot recommend Souled-Out Hartamas enough! They also have a very good happy hour!More

Visited with a friend for whom Souled Out is one of his favourite places to eat and we were not disappointed. Not being used to food in this part of the world, we left it to our friend to order for us and it was...all so very delicious. The service was excellent, the wine was perfectly chilled and we loved the atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our return to KL later this year so that we can dine at this restaurant once again.More

We had a family dinner to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. Great casual ambience and the food was fairly good too. The staff especially was very attentive and obliged us with a birthday song and a family photo which was immediately printed and given to us...as a souvenir. Was very thoughtful.More

Stopped here for some late night food in KL, there not being too many other places to choose from late at night. Food was nice enough. Fairly laid-back ambience. Beer was cold and good.
