Authentic wonderful Italian food. The fresh pasta was “cut” table side thru guitar strings. The sauces were fresh and lovely. Tiramisu was best I’ve had in Japan. Can’t wait to go back

The service was okay but the food was very disappointing. Having read about the place we decided to seek it out for a special evening. Directions to the restaurant on google are confused and it was cold wandering around trying to find it. Once in...we ordered and after a small wait received our salads. The best part of the salad was the tomato, which was terrific. The rest of the mix was pretty pedestrian and the dressing was too much and not noteworthy. One main, a carbonara, was awful. Kraft dinner has more taste, though what was served was certainly orange. The second was a Stampati with pesto was weird. The pasta is stamped out in rounds and served with pesto, which was too thick. This was an expensive meal without the joy of good food, well prepared. Save your money and go to another place.More

We tried a few of their pasta, a soup and a salad, and also their tiramitsu. All taste GREAT. The shop is run by a family and the pasta are handmade by themselves. They even invented their own machines to do the handmade pasta which...is very impressive.More

Really nice meal at Alto Tritone in Osaka. Pasta was excellent and a demonstration of how the guitar pasta is made was given. My husband felt the portion sizes were on the smaller side but they were good for me. Only thing is that the...restaurant is small so ensure you’ve made a reservation before going, we were lucky to be seated without but I think this is unusual. Service was a little slow when a bigger group arrived but apart from that very good.More

Amazing pasta and a demonstration on how to hand cut it. Wonderful pasta and a lovely family run business. Lots of laughs between the waiter, who translated for his parents, and us. The tiramisu was as every bit as good as nonna's and that's a...huge compliment. Would go back again any time.More

One of best meals we had in our 3 weeks in Japan. Food in Osaka is that much better and this was the best non Japanese food restaurant we went to. The hosts are a lovely, friendly, Japanese family, the menu is simple but the...quality of the food is excellent and it was very good value.More

A family run place with outstanding food in Osaka. Didn’t think it was possible but the hand cut pasta by this amazing guy was unbelievable and they had lots of main courses like veal dishes for main courses too,,,,it was awesome homemade Italian food from...a great Japanese family. Rated as the top restaurant in Osaka!More

We went to Alto Tritone the night before the Osaka Marathon. It’s a very small, family owned restaurant where they make their own pasta! The food was delicious and they even showed us how they make their pasta. The wine was lovely as well. (Yes...we had wine before our marathon lol). The family was lovely and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

Cute little white corner restaurant. Only a 16-seater. It was fully packed when we were there. Family restaurant, father hand makes the pasta and cooks the food, mother and son are serving the tables. For two people, we ordered 2 appetizers and 2 pastas followed...by the pork chop and 1 dessert. We tasted the tagliatelle carbonara first and was amazed how well it was cooked, so we ordered a second pasta dish, the “guitar style” pasta - which I highly recommend. The family’s English is limited but we had a very good time with them. We would definitely go back!More

When I chanced upon Alto Tritone while researching for our visit to Osaka, I know we have to give it a try as my wife and I love pasta, which we thought would serve as a good variation to the Japanese food we will be...having while in Japan. We were not disappointed! Alto Tritone is a small family run restaurant that serves Italian food. It is very close to Westin Osaka, and across from Osaka station. There are only about 16 seats, so reservation would be advisable. Father is the chef, while mother and son are at the front of the restaurant. The son is also responsible for making the guitar string pasta which he demonstrates to guests. The pasta we had were simply delicious, and one of the best we have had anywhere. The tiramisu is also not to be missed. We ordered one portion of tiramisu as the son told us it's a rather big portion. We finished it in no time, and was soon onto the second piece. The son was pleasantly surprised! The son told us that his father had worked in Italy many years ago and learned the trade there. This is easily one of the best meals we had in our trip. We were there on a Saturday night and had wanted to return for another meal on Monday before we left Osaka, but unfortunately they were closed. We will certainly be back at Alto Tritone the next time we are in Osaka. Highly recommended for pasta lovers.More

You have asked me, a customer. Hopefully you can contact the restaurant instead. I would think they take reservations as it is a very small restaurant. We were walk-ins but I think we were lucky.
