Lots of good choices for craft beer. Place was very busy and hard to get service but I was okay with service as they apologized and I understood. (Im still searching for an IPA with IBUs >75)

Popped in here for a quick pint, great selection of craft beer, not cheap but similarly priced to all other craft beers I’ve had in Japan over the last couple of weeks. Would return in back in Osaka.

After a long night of sightseeing, me and my friend went to dotonbori to get some food, and after eating we wanted to flush it down with some quality beer. Kamikaze bar wasn’t very close (we had to walk ~1.5km), but it was noted on...google that it was open till midnight, and since it was 22:30 we thought that it would be a good place for us. We arrived at 23:04 (I checked the time...), and the staff told us the bar was closed, even though there were quite many people inside, although a few tables were not occupied. I asked if perhaps we could get some take away beer, to which the bartenders reluctantly agreed. After paying for the beers (which even though were quite expensive with 1500 yen a beer were really good) the bartender immediately said goodbye and pointed towards the exit. Let me say that again: the bar was open for another hour, there a lot of people inside but at the same time some empty tables, and we were basically told to go away. The beer selection is pretty big, the place looks nice, but I’ve never felt so unwanted in any place ever before. Maybe other people have better experiences, but for me it was pretty bad.More

Craft beer business is tough, especially in SE Asia where the beer culture is non-existent (or was until a few years ago). Large national conglomerat have run the scenes for decades, heped by their friends the legislators, they have crushed any local beer aficinado wiiling...to start up his own business. It is changing. And CBW Kamikaze is part of this change, even though they don't brew their own beers. Let's thank them for their endeavour and forgive them for the rather high profit margin they apply to their beers. On the other hand, it'd be great if they could do away with those rather boring trendy Scandinavian brews and replace them with SE Asians "cousins:" Korea, Viet-N and Taiwan produce craft beers much superior to 95% of what the Scandinavians flood the world with..More

Based on the good reviews and my curiosity of craft beer, I visited this place. Opening up the menu, I was faced with sticker shock. However, I had to try at least one. Paid 800 yen, the equivalent of about 8 bucks for a “medium”...sized Suruga Bay IPA. When it came, I was shocked once again, it was absolutely tiny! I’ve been to craft beer places in several places in the US and never have I seen such expensive prices for beer, ever! It’s not like many of those available were imported either. These were Japanese beers. A pint there was equivalent to upwards of $20! Needless to say, I didn’t try anything else. The place was nice and the beer was good. With the above, two stars.More

I like the vibe of this place it is quite chill and easy, they serve many craft beers selection at reasonable price in Yen, barman was nice too to recommend the perfect beer to try even though they don’t speak English perfectly but it was...good enough to understand and helpful. Good memoriesMore

This is great little bar with a decent selection of beer. The food selection is also decent. Take plent of money with you. The beer is quite expensive.

Awesome atmosphere, amazing variety of craft beer and great selection of food food. Must visit while in Osaka.

Google, their website and the opening times on the door all show 5.00pm. It doesn't matter how good the beer if the venue isn't open. Having walked 1.5km out of my way, a member of staff told me that the bar doesn't open until 6.00pm,...that despite someone already propping up the bar. Now I'm faced with another 1.5km walk after no beer.More

We stayed in Osaka for 5 nights and we came here 3 of those nights. The beer was good, the staff were friendly, and the customers were all enjoying the craft beer. It can fill up, so you may want to get there a bit...early if you're serious about the beer. They offer multiple sizes for each beer, which I appreciate, since the prices are not exactly cheap. If you're a craft beer fanatic and it's convenient for you to get here, then I highly recommend a visit.More
