Quick and super tasty gyoza. Great vibe. A great place to start a night out. Sit at the bar and watch the staff prepare and cook your gyoza while enjoying a beer.

We chose this place for dinner and it was the best decision we made. Initially ordered 20 each but it was so good we ordered 20 more. Try get in early as it seemed popular, there was a queue as we left.

Stumbled onto this place wandering through the Kitashinichi district. English menu with a few options. Delicious handmade gyoza - minimum order of 20 per person (they were smaller so 20 was a manageable number.) Small plate of pickles, beer and tea also available. Two orders...of gyoza and beer cost £3,000. We would definitely return!More

The service is cordial and prompt, could be more friendly. There is a brief English menu, which teaches you how to mix the soya sauce and vinegar in the correct proportions for good taste. Although the minimum order is 20 pieces, but we managed to...bargain down to 15 pieces each. The gyozas are freshly made and freshly cooked. Pretty much like artisan foods. The skin is thin and crispy, with a little bit of meat filling. But the taste is okay, I couldn't quite tell what I am eating actually. The gyozas are also quite small. They will ask if you want a plate of pickled cucumber, sour plum and radish (extra charge). The eating house is small and crowded, well visited by local. The frying makes the air greasy. Plus, they allow smoking inside the eating house, so the indoor air quality is poor. The prices are expensive for gyozas. 30 pieces of gyoza, one beer, one cold tea and one plate of pickles cost 3,400 yen. So, I do not think that it is worth the money, and will not highly recommend it.More

You know you are in the right place when it is filled with locals grabbing a snack after work. Minimum order of 20 gyoza per person so please go with an empty stomach!

Simple. Excellent gyoza cooked in front of you. Best we have had in Japan. Reasonably priced. Staff have a small amount of English enough to order

It was almost impossible to find but it sure was worth it. It's a small bar with a couple of tables that can seat 4/5 and the bar area itself. There is only one menu, the excellent gyoza served with those devine Japanese cucumbers and...some pickles, and a cold and dry Asahi beer. The cook was making the gyoza as we ordered - they really were delicious, small - an order of 20 is the minimum - with a succulent filling and 'pot sticklered' just right. You eat with a sauce made from 2 parts vinegar to 1 part soy and in my case some chilli oil. Worth a visit if you in the Shrine area and don't give up trying to find it. I had walked past it twice - so remember when you're in Japan it pays not only to look up but to look close-up as the English names are there just not at first glance. In the end a charming waitress, from another restaurant, changed her shoes and walked us to Tenpei - only in Japan!More

The best gyoza I have ever had. You have to try it ! No menu just gyoza and cucumber. Do not oder cucumber we were charged $6 for ages slices which seems hard to believe.

At first, the gyozas are excellent and crispy, with just right amount of spiciness in them. Ordering is simple, you can't pretty much order anything else than gyoza plates and Asahi beer. One plate has 20 gyozas on it. We ordered two plates, one for...each. Warning: if you're not good with chopsticks you might have difficult time separating the gyozas from each other, as they are very much fried & glued to each other. I felt the eyes of the locals on my back when I was fighting to get them into single pieces. Must've been entertaining. If you're a foreigner, expect to get some looks from the other customers when you walk in. We sure did. So I was very surprised when the lady spoke a few words of English, just enough for us to get our order, which could mean foreigners do visit from time to time. Anyhow, do pay a visit, it's a visit to remember and oh, so very tasty.More
