Before coming to Japan - I was researching places to try that are 3 Michelin stars. From reading the reviews, I decided to try Fujiya 1935. Atmosphere - Very minimalistic decor, mid century style furniture. Limited seating, so reservations is a must. Make sure you have 3 hours for dinner. Service - Hostess was great, servers were good - they... More

saw lots of good reviews about this restaurant, and found all those compliments are true after i dined there, well deserved the title of "3 star Michelin restaurant". their food is certainly amazing, but please note that their wine selection is actually good too. i suggest you try their wine paring menu. reservation is a must and they only accept... I visited Fujiya 1935 in Osaka for dinner with friends in July 2016. From the moment we walked into the the very understated and elegant lobby, we knew we were in for a special experience. Sure enough, everything was absolutely marvellous. The food was spectacular. The presentation alone was worth the visit. The combination of Japanese ingredients and Spanish cooking... More

The two of us dined here in late March this year (2016). This is a Michellin 3 star restaurant and every dish is satisfying not just in taste, presentation but also quantity. When we arrived, we were taking some pictures of the entrance and signs, the waitress came out of the front door and greeted us. We were then seated... More

We went there for lunch today, the first day we arrived in Osaka, after having our hotel make a reservation for us the week before. We were seated in a simply designed and quiet space. They had staff who could speak English attending to our table. The food was beautifully presented and everything was delicate yet flavorful. They had a... More

Cannot fault this restaurant one bit. 3 Star Restaurant in Osaka, great value equivalent to around $120-150 AUD per person. Decor - simple but comfortable, we were seated in a room, where there was only another 2 seat table on the other side so it was overall quite private and nice. Staff - very attentive and quite good english. We... More

We booked this restaurant well in advance (1 week before our trip). It was finitely worth it. The restaurant is not easily found but with the help of our hotel we found it. The waiting area is small and quaint with a beautiful water fountain. Once inside we were seated in a lovely cosy area especially made for two people.... More

This 3 stars restaurant is innovative in its dishes , incorporating a bit of everything really , from Europeon to Japanese , But clearly more dominant on the Spanish end With the exception of desserts I enjoyed the place fairly but not the whole experience , the cold shrimp pasta and the lamb failed impact , but the crab &... This place is very subtle, both outside at the entrance and inside of the restaurant. Taxi driver was not sure if he has reached the place because the name Fujiya 1935 was so small and almost not noticeable. The indoor décor is spacious, comfortable, using lots of wood and the least amount of decoration that is unnecessary. The way of... More

Over-the-top creative with an interior decor that totally blew me away and a fascinating blend of Spanish and Japanese styles that mimics Ca Sento in Kobe. Tetsuya Fujiwara trained at a Spanish restaurant called L'Esguard, which is run by a neurosurgeon, and the dedication to precision has carried over to Fujiwara's place here in Osaka. Every dish is beautifully crafted... More
