Another happy discovery after initial dinner plan fail. Osaka I think prides itself on the okanomoyaki dish and it's definitely a must try. Comes out ready to eat but sits on the hot griddle cooking away. We got the dotonbori special- everything in which wasn't as intimidating as it looks in the picture! By that I mean not huge and... This place is in Dotonburi where the locals directed us to have okonomiyaki. We sat in the back where there was a canal behind or a narrow river. They cook it by a bar and serve it hot drizzled with the sauces in front of you when they serve. 1 is good for a big dinner or to be shared... More

Our family of 7 got very polite and nice service. We sat at 2 tables. The line moved surprisingly fast. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba was delicious. The squid was cooked perfectly which is often tricky.

We popped in at lunchtime to try out the pancakes on the very touristy recommendation of the Lonely Planet. While we realise it's very touristy, we had a great meal. It was very easy to order and the food was both good value and delicious. We had a great seat over looking the cooking which made it more interesting. The... More

No problem for non-Japanese speaking to order here. This restaurant has Englishman menu and staff who able to communicate in English. The food is OK. Nice experience in Osaka.

Never had okonomiyaki, great place to try, many different varieties and my fave Hiroshima style....good side dishes too. Staff friendly, good natured and easy going, have your meal prepared authentically right in front of you, great for taing photos of your Japan food experience.... Highly recommend, going back there soon myself.

Have to be honest. I am not a pancake fan. Of all the wondrous variations in Japanese cuisine, this is my least favourite. It looks messy. It tastes unrefined. It feels like fast food. But the kids love it so we go. Have to. No choice. This establishment happens to be well-rated on TA. The long queue (mostly young adults)... More

This place was great, come hungry. Yes there are lines but they move pretty quick considering it's a big place. Okonomiyaki is their specialty and you'll want to get one loaded with the fixings, cooks are friendly if you sit at the bar and watch them. Makes you wonder why there aren't places like this in the U.S.
