This was my best find in Kyoto. They specialise in chicken and use every bit of the bird. The food is superb and the service is superb. Be adventurous and try what we throw away in the West. My only tip is to order more...More

We have just walked away after queueing for an hour because the waitress eventually came out to say it would be around another hour before anyone inside left and by then the kitchen would be closed. Having updates earlier would have been helpful and considerate....More

We tried to visit Yakitori Tarokichi tonight, lined up for over an hour to then be told at 9pm that the kitchen closed at 10pm and that they doubted anyone would leave. It’s obviously a great place as everyone wanted to stay and the reviews...More

Bumped into this hidden jewel that serves great yakitori. Ground floor is abit cramp like the usual izakaya, but upstairs is much more spacious. Prices are reasonable, food and services are great too.

We were booked by our host from Ishibekoji Ryugin as the beef was better quality than other Yakitori Restaurants in the area. We were very disappointed. As foreigners we were almost ignored by the chef and waiter. The food was OK but a bit oilier...More

I couldn’t believe there were no bad reviews for this place and now I know why. The service is fast and friendly. The skewer meat were perfectly cooked with a hint of charcoal. My husband is still raving on about the grilled Kyoto mushrooms.
