The food quality was excellent . It’s only a small restaurant with three staff so the food takes time if the restaurant is full . Slow food is often good food . If you want fast food choose Ramen or McDonalds . Good Tapas Excellent...seafood Paella All round good quality , good value . We’d come here again next time we are in KyotoMore

If you had told me that one of the highlights of my trip to Japan was going to be dinner at a Spanish restaurant then I would have laughed however, this was exactly what happened. Antonio's is a slice of Spanish heaven found in the...Kyoto area. The food was fantastic however this place gets a 5/10 for hospitality. We were made to feel very welcomed and a special part of the night's service. I want to thank both the Chef (I assume Antonio) and our waiter for a splendid evening. Our waiter made an effort to speak English with us even though he had limited knowledge of the language and Antonio for taking the time to chat/laugh with us. I would highly recommend if you are in the area and want to take a break from the Japanese cuisine. Thank you Antonio's.More

Looking for a quick place to eat with a tapas or two, we quickly found ourselves spending the next two and a half hours at Antonio, both the chef and waiter were wonderfully friendly and the food fantastic, with what was hands down the best...paella I have ever eaten. Dining in Kyoto can often feel a bit rushed in the downtown area, and so the atmosphere at Antonio's gave the perfect break from the Japanese style. We did not expect to find such fantastic Spanish cuisine in Kyoto, and would recommend this restaurant to locals and visitors alike.More

Antonio is by far one of the best restaurants my husband and I have tried during our trip through Japan. After a week of trying all sorts of Japanese dishes, we had decided it was finally time to indulge in some European food and Antonio...certainly did not disappoint. We arrived around 19:00 and despite the place already being quite busy, we were greeted and served personally by Antonio, who also prepared our food. We started with a variety of smaller tapas-style dishes (the “gambas al ajillo” were just amazing!) and then finished with a seafood paella and cinnamon ice cream. We really can’t fault the whole experience in any way; it was all just perfect and like being in the south of Spain. To top things off, the decoration was authentic, the location easy to find and all in all, we had a very pleasant evening. Thanks again Antonio and hasta pronto!More

Excellent Spanish food! This restaurant has an extensive menue with proper Spanish dishes, from tapas to paella. It is better to order paella when booking due to the long cooking time that this dish requires but it is totally worth it! The owner and chef...is from Andalucia and has real Spanish products, I would definitely reccomend to try this restaurant!More

Our hotel recommended the restaurant. It is quite small and cosy. Antonio is your host and chef, he is friendly and yet manages to produce excellent food from his open kitchen whilst talking to his customers. You will not be disappointed with your choice of...Antonios for the evening.More
