Loved this place. Sushi is pristine. Not a lot of variety, which actually inspires confidence that they are only serving what they believe will be the best. Unpretentious and charming, we loved it so much we went twice. Reservations a must and easy to make.

Wow. Reading previous positive tripadvisor reviews we decided to check ourselves. Very very good food. We were lucky without reservation. Eat the basic menu and order some extra sashimi. That is all it takes. Friendly staff. Execellent food.

Visited Kikyo Sushi tonight. Food was awesome, hospitality flawless! You should really really give this place a try! The restaurant isnt massive so worth booking in advance to ensure you don't miss out. By far the best place we have eaten in Kyoto!
