I showed up without a reservation and the staff was very accommodating and pleasant and had me at a table within 10 mins. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it!

We came at lunch, when the restaurant just opened. We do not need to wait long to get our meal, which is Sirlon steak set, then we add dry aging Kobe beef. The seasoning on the beef was great and the beef itself tasted amazing!...More

Pound for pound this is definitely a contender. The kind of meal you reference as a benchmark. The secluded tables add to the experience.

We found this place on a guide and headed there without any reservation so we had to wait about 20 minutes. Food was good at a Kyoto average price. Good service and menu variety. Not in my top 5 places in Kyoto but good enough.

We sat upstairs on cushions and it was really fun, the meat is amazing and the waiters are all friendly and can help you decide which meat to order. Definitely recommend to anyone who feels like eating meat in kyoto with great wine.
