We didn't get a chance to taste the food here due to the spectacularly terrible service. We were hunting out of the way for somewhere special to eat and found Gogyo down a quiet side street. We thought the place looked really cool, beautifully designed, and there was a queue outside so we figured it had to be good, but... More

It's my first time trying burnt ramen. I don't like the black burnt stuff floating on the soup, but the ramen and broth taste good You can watch the chef flambé the ramen. Very exciting

I had to try to burnt miso...and I was left slightly disappointed. In theory, it sounded delicious but I suppose poorly executed. My husband had the special tonkosu paired with gyoza. The pork broth and ramen was amazing and the gyoza was delicious! The gyoza came with this sauce that was nothing I've ever had, perfectly sweet and balance with... More

Was recommended to this place since we are @ Nishiki Market area. Ordered their Kogashi Shoyu-Men, Kogashi Miso-men and their Japanese Autumn Foliage Style Burnt Dandan Noodles. Personally, i prefer the last one because of the spicyness of it. Not too spicy though. The soup here r ratger heavy in taste. Not recommended for those who like clear and light... More

For start, 400 yen cover charge per person. Tuna-avocado starter was, well, nothing special. Tasteless and dull. Shrimp tempura was not bad, no complains on that. But ramen was just not right. Noodles fine, but ramen was not tasty and not salty. At all. No spices on the side, which i find quite odd for japan. Overall tasteless meal and... More

I traveled all the way here with mosquito bitten legs just to try this burnt miso ramen and frankly I am mad that I trusted the overall rating of this place. Forced $4 cover charge PER person just to sit at a table and terrible ramen that is probably not good for you. It's exactly what it is, ramen with... More

- short wait (weekday lunchtime) - burnt miso ramen definitely worth a try - shio ramen was quite mild but delicious! - great crispy chicken karaage - friendly service - only downside: the food took a liiittle bit too long - great atmosphere due to Japanese decorations - few tourists, mostly Japanese customers

Visited here on a Thursday evening. We had to wait 20 minutes but had fun chatting to other folks in the queue. We got a seat at the bar by the open kitchen, which I would recommend. We had gyozo, tuna and burnt miso noodles. They were all very tasty and the gyozo was our favourite. Watching the chefs at... More
