Heard people raving about this place so gave it a try. While the food was pretty nice, I felt I’ve had similar or better ramen at cheaper stores in other parts of Japan. The burnt miso was certainly interesting but probably not to everyone’s taste....More

Ordered the special burnt shoyu and miso ramen, as well as their gyoza. Love the ramen. The broth was tasty and the serving was very generous. Quite pricey at Y1,400+ but worth it. The gyoza however was disappointing. Small serving and was priced at Y600+...More

Food is fine but the waitress/waiters are not only not helpful but their attitude are simply the worse I have experienced in japan (I come to Japan 6 times a year).

The burnt Ramen is not be missed!! Loved the smoky flavours. Delicious way to break up regular ramen meals. The restaurant its self it really nice and well decorated. Staff were great too. I would 100% return.

Nothing to not like. A game changer of a ramen dish – friends recommended this restaurant to me and now I recommend it to everyone who is going to Kyoto. Sublime.

If you’re a ramen fanatic and you’re looking for something a little different, you must go here. The burnt miso ramen is life changing. Trust me it sounds weird but it’s something special and you won’t regret it. Also the early 2000’s playlist was sooooo...More

We came to this restaurant after hearing rave reviews about it. The ambience is no doubt great, staff service was on point. However, the burnt ramen isn't the hype it's worth. We ordered the misho burnt ramen, at first taste the burnt taste was strong,...More

Picked this place after reading the Trip Advisor reviews, best I can say for it is the staff were excellent. Unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the hype. Gyoza were ok, but I have eaten better from street vendors; the karaage chicken was good...More

Shinkyogoku Shopping District
Those who delight in shopping and cuisine will find
themselves at home in Shinkyogoku. Lauded and visited
by locals for its Nishiki Market, where baskets of
fragrant spices, dried fish, and just-fried foods are
piled high along the snaking streets of its enclosed
outdoor shopping spaces, Shinkyogoku is not only a hub
for fresh fare, but also for fast fashion fixes.
