Been here a couple of times, and every time the food is superb. Expect queues (especially in peak tourist seasons), though you can order beers whilst outside to help pass the time. I'd recommend as late-night comfort food or as an antidote to the haute...More

My review is probably affected by the fact that I queued for an hour to eat here so my expectations were high. The menu has some interesting items on offer but I found that they were nice but not particularly tasty/flavoursome. The combinations on offer...More

Me and my boyfriend almost walked away when we saw the HUGE queue outside this restaurant. But, we'd seen the raving reviews and thought we'd give it a chance. The queue has a system, where you write your name down on a list and each...More

Good, albeit small, gyoza place in Kyoto. Was able to serve my family of 5 in early evening, no problem. We enjoyed the family set + some additions. Didn’t leave hungry!

We chose this restaurant on our first night in Kyoto and were completely blown away! The staff were incredibly friendly and had very easy to understand menus in English and also for vegetarian options. The atmosphere was awesome - the staff encourage a friendly ‘cheers’...More

We had this as after dinner snacks but ended up eating more than intended as the food was just so good. Waited approximately 20 minutes for a table but the wait was totally worth it. Must try if you are in the area!

Though small by comparison, Pontocho is one of Kyoto's
most spirited and memorable neighborhoods. A narrow
street straddling the Kamogawa River, it is Kyoto's
busiest nightlife spot. When darkness falls,

They serve many different types of gyozas. My group of 5 included two vegetarians, two meat eaters and one pescatarian. We also enjoyed a plate of chocolate gyozas. I don't know about halal.
