Thank you JennaPrice! We will definitely try to keep same ambience and atmosphere after reopen new Beer Komachi in mid March. We hope to see you again at new Beer Komachi sometime!
We visited right before New Year’s and it was snowing outside- this place was warm and welcoming, despite having a small space. We ordered their pickle dish to share and it was nothing exciting but did the job. They had Sticky Fingaz from Kumazawa Brewing...More

I love breweries, they usually have a lot of IPAs, stouts...beers with a lot of bold taste! There's a lot of Kirin in Japan and good beer is not always easy to find. Beer Komachi is changing this, they have a great selection of craft...More

A few good craft beers and great food. A bit larger than many other Japanese bars we found. Cool funky location, seems to cater mostly to Westerners. Was a great find for this craft-beer lover looking for a break from Asahi and Kirin.

No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of
local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.
