We were just seeking a quick lunch before visiting the Taizoin gardens (sub temple of the Myoshinji Temple). However our wonderful Kyoto cuisine meal at Mancho ended up being a highlight of the day. The exquisite meals created by Chef Akio Ishitani are first consumed...as visual art, and then as culinary pleasures. The pride and quality of this family run business is clearly evident in both the masterpiece Tsurezure Bento, and the Seasonal Lunch Set. The English menu was a pleasant surprise, as was the Chef’s great command of the language. Okini gozaimashita!More
