I know while in Kyoto you should be eating Japanese Kaiseki, but sometimes all you want is some good Mexican food. We found this little place using Trip Advisor. It's a bit out of the way, not too hard to find, but it is on...More

This place is worth a visit. It's not a Michelin style place but it has spirit and authenticity! Nice

This area seemed a bit expensive compared to the smaller izakayas that my travel buddy and I had been frequenting in Shinjuku, so we were looking for some place on the cheaper side that was open late and where we could enjoy a Futbol game....More

I went to this restaurant last weekend. I don't mean to sound harsh but the food was terrible. The best thing we ate there was the chips, guacamole and salsa. We tried several things on the menu, and being from California, and having a Mexican...More

The couple who run this place are warm and make you feel welcome. It helps that they have lived in the Americas and speak English too. We are vegetarians and found plenty of options, all made well. Guacamole, margaritas, mojitos, and food all so well...More

We found ourselves in Japan on Cinco De Mayo and were homesick for some Mexican food. We searched and this is the only place we found in Kyoto open. We found it on a quiet residential street and arrived at around 4pm to start the...More

Outstanding ambience coupled with melt-in-your-mouth "Japanese-Mexican" cuisine. The attentive staff and strong, artfully blended drinks perfectly rounded off this phenomenal dining experience. 5 stars.

City Center
No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its
blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered
shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street
bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to
peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home
goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center
is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and
