A couple friends and I ate Okinomiaki at Hassho recently. I love Okinomiaki especially Hiroshima style Okinomiaki. It was good no doubt, but unfortunately I've had better. We did order a kimchi dish that was very good.

Great food, great atmosphere. My girlfriend cannot eat red meat and they have a seafood option for her to eat. I had the recommended dish.

I was in Hiroshima for 1 day, I was looking for a tipical restaurant and I find Hassho on google. I walked there and I saw a queue. I stopped there and I waited for 1 hour but It was absolutely worth it. The Okonomiyaki was amazing and It was Hiroshima Style. People who cooked was very kind and capable.... More

We had heard about this restaurant from a friend so while in Hiroshima we thought we had to give it a try. Our friend booked us in for 6pm. But while walking around the area we went to see exactly where it was, we found it about 3.30 pm and already there were about 20 people waiting , I assume... More

The restaurant opened at 4 p.m. We went there slightly after 4 p.m. and the small restaurant was already full of local customers. Luckily, we were seated immediately. After we made our order (English menu available), we sat there in front of the teppan and watched the whole process how the Okonomiyaki was cooked systematically by various staff. The portion... Even if you go early you'll have to queue. Once inside its this great, hectic food factory churning out delicious Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. There's only about 20 seats and you'll be in there for about 45 mins. So do the math when you see the queue!

we were introduced by hotel front desk, and we went there around 6:00 PM and there was already a line (about 10 persons). It took around 40 minutes to sit in the table (all in front of the "teppan"). We made the order and could see all the process to cook the Okonomiyaki. It is amazing how all cook sections... More

This okonomiyaki shop is deep in the bar district. We would see the lines walking to and from our home and asked some friends about it. It is a "famous" shop for Hiroshima style okonomiyaki. It opens about 4pm, but if you get there after 430 on a weekend you can expect a line outside. Later the line can be... More

Known as one of the premier places for okonomiyaki in Hiroshima. The main branch is the "school" where apprentices learn the craft and then go on to open their own shops.
