How is Daruma Honten rated?

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant. I tried to be adventurous and ordered expensive cuts but only two pieces of meat on the plate tasted nice while the other two pieces are like the normal cut. My advice, just order the basic cut...and enjoy the meal. The cooking method is not for everyone though, it can get very smoky and stuffy but it doesn't bother me. Queue builds up quickly if you arrived at peak business hours and be prepared to wait one hour or more. The first time I ate here I had waited for 1 hour 45 minutes so plan your visit accordingly. Delicious

Delicious, good quality of meat. Nice services. Staff can speak English well so you get correctly what you want. Please prepare your time because of long queue.

Worst meal

Had to queue for nearly an hour. Staff non-smiling an no greetings. Had to eat fast as others are waiting and watching behind your back. Average Ramen. Super oily Fried Rice and Gyōza. After my meal, I kept burping oil. Gyoza filling has got a...very porky taste and Char Siu is fatty. Yuks!More

Worth the waiting

the shop opens at 5pm and we went there at 4:30pm. There were already a few people waiting outside the shop. So we wanted for half an hour to get in. It was a small shop as there were only like 13 seats inside sitting...on a round table. the lamb meat was so goood though! We ordered 2 plates at the beginning but then we ordered 4 more. Highly recommended.More

Bad service

One of their foreign staff has a really bad attitude. Worst service i have received in japan. Went to the susukino 4.4 branch. Food was so so.

One of top place for mutton in Sapporo

The restaurant is small and so crowded. The queue always have more than 20 guests waiting to be served. Highly recommend ghenis khan but not Chanja.

I Lamb It 💙

Another one where we had to line up for an hour in the cold winter weather. We found the place by following google map. Mostly locals and we were the only tourists. I never tried lamb before and I truly enjoyed the food and the...experience. We only ordered two yakiniku plates and it wasn’t enough. Surely I’ll be back!More

If you don't have patience don't go, if you don't mind waiting it'll be totally worth

Great place to try the famous Gengis Khan dish. Expect long queues for dinner, we waited for 2 hours until we could sit, the food was so delicious. I miss this delicious food so much so don't hesitate to go there.

Amazing food

This place is delicious and totally worth waiting in line for. Once you get there you take a number and sit down an wait for a place do free it self up so you can eat.
