you can try all different kinds of xian local food over there.Just like local cold noddles-liang pi,chinese hanburg---rou jia mo,and local soft drinks---bing feng,etc.

I normally stayed away from restaurants recommended by the hotel, because they are usually expensive and the food sucks. However, I must say this restaurant is an exception. Authentic tast, all of us had a great time there enjoying the tasty food, not only serve big dishes also lots of famous street food available there, tastes equally good! will defnitely come back when i am in xi an!

We were looking for a typical Shannxi restaurant and realised the many Chinese restaurants in Xi'an respresent different Chinese cuisines. Also known to Chinese for the restaurant where the Communists and the Koumingtang met for alliance discussions after the Xi'an Incident of 1936 (larger mural in the lobby of the hotel). The Xi'an Incident of December 1936 (traditional Chinese: 西安事變; simplified Chinese: 西安事变; pinyin: Xī'ān Shìbìan) was an important turning point in Chinese modern history, took place in the city of Xi'an during the Chinese Civil War between the ruling Kuomintang (KMT) and the insurgent Chinese Communist Party and just before the Second Sino-Japanese War. On 12 December 1936, Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the leader of the Kuomintang was suddenly arrested and kidnapped by Marshal Zhang Xueliang, a former warlord of Manchuria, then Japanese-occupied Manchukuo.
