We only attended the show and did not eat at the restaurant. The show was good, but not spectacular. It was interesting from a historical standpoint, but seemed a little over-the-top at times. At times could be very loud, more than needed. I've seen reviews where it was all western tourists that attended, but the night we were there the... More

We skipped dinner and just went for the show. Our tablemates told us that we made a wise decision. The show was entertaining and the music portions were very nice. The show was English-friendly and most of it was quite lively. We had a good time. It was packed to walls with tourists (it looked like mainly Aussies of retirement... More

(This review covers the performance only; we did not choose either dinner option, as the price seemed high compared to some of the excellent  nearby restaurants.)   We had high expectations for this performance, given its consistently high ratings on various travel sites.  Unfortunately, our expectations didn't come close to being met.    The show is a composite of several... The dumplings were certainly not the best in the area. Obviously done plain and tasteless for foreign tourists like us. No reason for them to be cold. We have had much better in the city. The show was pleasant enough but would not recommend unless part of your package with no other options.

we partook of the dumpling dinner in one of the restaurant's rooms prior to convening to the theater for the show. the appetizer dish that includes jellyfish, cha siu, beef slices, chicken, tomato, cucumbers and peanuts is not everyone's cup of tea but that meant there was more for me. the dumplings made up the majority of the dinner and... The Chinese banquet was delicious. Our friends were celebrating their wedding anniversary and they were indulged with champagne and cake at the end of the meal much to the enjoyment of all the guests. The show was a delight of colour showing costumes and music from the Tang Dynasty.

The food was lovely - 14 varieties of dumpling - the show was Ok - didn't really hold my attention - the Chinese / English translations were laughable at times. It was included as part of our Wendy Wu trip but I wouldn't have paid a considerable extra amount for this.

We visited the restaurant with our Tour Company but did not take in the optional show as well. We dined on the 3rd Floor where we were served with a sumptious Chinese buffet, Others on our tour also took in the show and their feedback when returning was that this was very good. Don't make the mistake that we did... More

All I can say is WOW! This was an add on excursion to our tour and I am so glad that we went. First of the dumpling meal was out of this world! They brought so many courses of different dumplings and each one was designed differently, some looked like animals etc. Then came the show! I was totally blown... More

All was close to say that it's exсellent but the performance finishes and you come out of the building into a very modern win huge houses street where people are hurring up home and cars fill the air with messy sounds. You'll remember this moment spent in another epoch for a long time.
