Greta to do this cruise lots of scenery to see watching boat going past with kitchen on the back of the boats with several cooks on board the food smells great unsure of the hygiene as they pump water out of the Li river to cook with wash with as you travel past buffalos' bathing women washing cloths etc.

Wonderful way to see the regional China landscape and these famous mountains. Each turn in the river brings views that you are sure can't be better. The food is more local so go with an open mind. There is also a western style bathroom on the boat. Always welcomed! But you won't want to miss a thing and be sure... More

4 of us "enjoyed" a meal here but ALL of us got food poisoning. The dirty tablecloths should have warned us! It was the chilli sauce we asked for. The waitress said she had made it herself. Such a shame as the food was really good. So sorry, I can't recommend the Congee City.

Our guide suggested this restaurant for lunch while in Guilin. As said by other reviewers, this is a restaurant, not a boat or a cruise. And as other reviewers said, forget English here, you will be on your own... BUT, we had the luck our guide came inside with us, gave a couple of indications to the waiters, and told... More

We had a nice dinner here and tried many dishes with a group of 22. Gentle and attentive staff. We took a separate room. The food was great. Right outside is the water with lovely illuminated pagodas, walkways and happy people strolling about in the sweet evening air. Take a walk here after dinner!

I find it surprising that so many reviews here on TA erroneously are of the LI RIVER CRUISE! I believe that the Li River Cruise reviews should be posted not to this RESTAURANT but to the ATTRACTION: Li River East of Guangxi Zhuang, China. I would call the attraction the "Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo". Are reviewers confusing... More

The unusual beauty of the landscape was mesmerizing. The Yangtze River is so masculine and rugged but this river is the opposite.

The views from the boats cruising down the Li river are amazing. Very much like Ha long bay in Vietnam ( not far in distance away). Half the top level on the boat we were on was "bought" by a group of wealthy Chinese who had the crew bring there tables and chairs on deck - which caused all sorts... More

The beauty of the river and the insight to the fishing villages were remarkable. We loved the views of the mountains.

Opposite the Waterfall hotel beside the lake. Formerly named Congee City. More rustic than slick but the food's ok and the nplace is open 'til late, which is unusual especially in this part of Guilin. It'sa useful address, I think. DW
