As a solo traveller I've been struggling a bit with the language barrier in Guangzhou, as most people don't speak a word of English. Luckily for me, at Tiger Prawn, all the menus have pictures, as well as English translations. The staff I had looking after me even spoke some basic English, so it made the whole thing very easy.... This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Guangzhou with a large array of dishes to choose from. There are two locations for the restaurant - the other is opposite inside the shopping mall. I am a big lover of Vietnamese cuisine and this place is my go-to. Both are excellent and very busy during peak hour. It is definitely worth... More

This has got to be the best Vietnamese food I have eaten. The restaurant is always packed but they always make sure they give foreigners a seat. Every dish is delicious and they even have a few vegetarian dishes. The Mango Salad and the nem rolls are a must try.

The Tiger Prawn in the Beijing Rd. shopping area quickly became my 'go to' spot for dinner during my stay in Guangzhou. It was about a 20 minute walk from my hotel - The Doubletree, but the food and the prices made the walk more than worthwhile. The place was always full with a large number of people on the... More

After reading the reviews about this restaurant I really wanted to try it and I am very glad I made the journey via two metro lines and a walk from the station. Like others have stated and recommended, arrive early if you don't want to wait in a very long line! The restaurant is in a great area with lots... More

This is a good place to stop in for lunch when walking around the Beijing Rd area. As many have said, there's often a long line, so plan your visit. We went a bit early for lunch on a Tuesday (11:45) and were seated immediately. By noon all the tables were filled. We ordered quickly in the hope that we... More

I read the reviews and was concerned about the wait. We arrived around 5:30 and got a table for 2 immediately. The menu is extensive. Luckily, it has pictures and is in English too. So you know what to expect. The food comes out quick and it very delicious. They do not take credit cards, but there is a bank... More
