Great food, we tried the beef stroganoff, sea bass, grilled vegetables, fries with mushrooms, and honey cake and they were all excellent. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke English and had an English menu also. The restaurant decor was quirky but also homely. Would definitely...recommend.More

From the first step into it I realized how cozy that place is. My mom and I were waiting for about 15 minutes to get a free table because I hadn't reserved one in advance. The food was delicious, the taste was reach! Thanks for...having us your guests!More

After the good experiences at the Georgian restaurant 'Hmeli Suneli' I didn't expect that this could be topped, but it did so at the restaurant 'Pashtet' (meaning a 'Pie', the Russian word being derived from the German 'Pastete', the French 'Pâté'). Located in a quiet...side street and attached to a rather unattractive big building from Soviet times, the restaurant is very atmospheric, with a lot of potted plants, with traditional Russian curtains and lamps and with the waitresses being dressed like local peasant women, some even with the typical hairdo. Just the unobtrusive background music was more jazz-like. The place is very popular, so it was a good idea to pass by in the afternoon and make a reservation. The dishes offered are mainly Russian, with some it says '100% Ural' and this is what I mainly went for. The menu card has pictures and comments in Russian and English. With the friendly waitress I managed well, although she didn't know any English and me hardly any Russian. My first 100% Ural starter had been a choice of different 'Salo' (pork fatback). With it I tried a 'Hrenovaha Vodka' (with horseraddish), which I didn't particularly like, so I changed to a pure 'Onegin' vodka from St.Petersburg. But Vodka is what goes best with Salo. The waitress knowing by now that I wanted local specialities, then recommended me a dish with 'Barrel salted Milk Caps'. It turned out to be one of the best mushroom dishes I ever tried and far tastier for me than the 'Steamed Pike Patties' (100% Ural), which I had ordered before already. Their only 100% Ural dessert was a 'Cheremukhovyi Tort' ('Bird Cherry Cake'), which I had tried before at another place, but here it was softer, sweeter and tasting more of cherry, thus far more enjoyable. Over an espresso at the end I kept pondering how well one can eat in Russia, so different to the days, when I had come here in Soviet days.More

We came here on the basis of the very positive Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We had a smoked fish sharing platter with freshly baked bread, stroganoff and rabbit in cabbage. All very good. Washed down with two large local beers and all...for less than £30. We will recommend our travel agent includes this restaurant in their possible places to eat. And the staff all spoke very good English.More

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in my life. Great food and original decor (grandma’s house style). Best place to try Ural or overall Siberian food.

Try for sure this restaurant, a little hidden away from the main street. Atmosphere super. Service outstanding and quality of food in absolute high end. Menu with pictures, but what you get looks even better. And taste follows the visual impression. Vine selection good. And...the best recommendation at all is that my wife said - I’ll be back here tomorrow ( happens only once in a lifetime) If you visit Jekatarinenburg you MUST try this restaurantMore

Simply I have been here a number of times and each time, EVERY time, I have been very happy with all involved. Service, the people here that wait on you are wonderful. They listen and bring to you what you need. Questions either answered immediately...or responded to very quickly. And, being a foreigner, this is a welcome site. Prices, VERY reasonable. And food, very good. Have been to other restaurants and asked about how I want my steak. There they ask well done as the first option. I KNOW it is normal here but in Pashtet the FIRST option is rare. I like mine "still kicking" and to have THIS as my first option tells me they know a lot about food. And then there's the cat. She makes appearances IN the restaurant and, if requested, she can visit the table. A SMALL thing but it is a VERY good thing. Bottom line, I love this place. Life has MANY things that make us crazy, to run like chickens with their heads cut off. Here they eliminate this feeling and they CONSISTENTLY make you feel like you're at home. WELL DONE PASHTET. Just give me the sixth star!More

Plenty of options for veggies and non veggies. Large menu with clear photos of every dish and descriptions in English. I had the beet salad and the Salmon, both were great, and i took a Napoleon cake to go which was ok. Prices are mid-range,...but reasonable and service was great.More

Please inform in advance on your web page that you have cats inside the restaurant. It’s very bad surprise for allergic people when you have already ordered your delicious meal and have to leave ASAP.
