We enjoyed eating at Katyusha - but not quite as much as at the other restaurants we ate at in St Petersburg. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and we have no significant complaints. The food was good and the service excellent....The overall feeling, however, was that it catered primarily for the tourist market and lacked something of the authenticity we found elsewhere. While staying in St Petersburg, we found ourselves returning again and again to this sweet restaurant. The food was beautifully prepared, and traditional. A unique Russian experience!

The food is actually simple but great ! The rooms are heavily decorated in a very russian style, great too ! Exept this you will to face a harsh moment with the staff... no smile from them. The size of the dishes are either really...small of you want meat and too big if you want fish. Elk carpaccio was in their freezer just before serving... Dont get me wrong, if it was a cheap it would be fine. But it isn't. Pay 80$ for 3 with a soup, a beef and a fish, 2 beers and a granberry juice... Litteraly the worst pricing i have faced so far.More

This is a tourist restaurant, clearly aimed at tourists! Expect to pay tourist prices, but you do get staff that speak English and good food. We ate here on our first night in St Peterborough, it was the most expensive meal we had there. We...were offered the choice of just dinner, or dinner with Russian dancing for an extra 500 roubles, we said no the dancing. The atmosphere almost feels a little bit like a theme park, trying too hard to be traditional. But, everything we ate and drank was good, the staff polite and friendly.More

Best place to dine for an authentic Russian food. The ambience, food and service is great! Their employees can speak English well, from the reception up until the waiter. Went to Katyusha on on nice Saturday afternoon. First impression was really good, as I loved the interior. We ordered 2 shots of vodka and pickled cucumbers for starter, then added red and black caviar with pancakes, as the waitress suggested. Also some little meat...pies, which were very tasty (maybe a little bit dry, if complaining is needed :)). Of course dumplings - absolutely fabolous! My husband took soup called rassolnik, as he loves it, and it tasted very good. For dessert I ordered the Napoleon cake and it was to die for! The best one I have ever had in my life (and had quite a bit). Would travel to Petersburg only for the cake, if needed :)More

A friendly, joyful and traditional Russian place with fine food, helpful waiters and a very nice dancing programme performed in the evening with traditional Russian folk songs. To taste the Russian spirit I'd definitely recommend to pay a visit.

Salad is made from potato, green bean, carrot with salad cream. Very good to have it on the table as one of your dish!
