The mezzanine cafe is open until 10 pm, serving breakfast, light lunches and evening snacks. Alcoholic drinks are also served along with delicious pastries and chocolates.

Lovely music and fire while you have a really lovely snack or something heavier if your prefer with great healthy options and lovely team. Chocolate art work is beautiful.

Outstanding home-made cakes and, in winter, the enormous fire-place, plus the patio-like shape makes it a place to spend long hours just staying.

We arrived fairly late in the evening at the Grand Hotel Europa from our flight from Iceland. We stumbled upon this restaurant located in the atrium of the hotel and sat down to see if we could get a meal. The menu had several pasta dishes and we each selected one. I believe mine was a chicken and pasta in... More

Excellent place to come in off the street and have a coffee and light meal or dessert. Expensive, as is everything near Nevski Prospeckt, but worth it. Service is excellent and it's inside a beautiful old hotel, the Belmond Grand Europe. Only complaint is they were out of Pavlova the 3 times we stopped there.

The Mezzanine café is located in the courtyard of Grand Hotel Europe, the high glass roof ensures that it is flooded with light,. The café is famous for its chocolates and its pastries: try the "Duke's Ruins" for something very special! In the afternoon, when many people have high tea in the Mezzanine, there is live music. They make some... More

Stopped for a cocktail at Mezzanine cafe before carrying on to dinner somewhere else. Unfortunately, my friend got food poisoning from eating their olives that were served as snacks together with nuts and crisps on a platter. Really bad night followed with several visits to a 24 hour chemist. We had Sapsan to Moscow booked for the following morning which... More

It's an ideal place to meet for coffee with your friends. Comfortable ambience, live unobtrusive music and an excellent service.

Its a good place to eat for convenience, just not much atmosphere. We had a coffee and bit as we had missed the main breakfast…all fine, but would go out somewhere else in hindsight.

While checking out this Belmond Grand Europe hotel signature L'Europe restaurant,I walked pass this serene atrium cafe. I asked to have a look at their menu and was presented with an iPad with loads of pictures and descriptions of their fare. Though I was not particularly hungry,I took a nice seat and order the club sandwich and Russian cherry tea.... More
