We had some drinks here and a salad (even when the kitchen was actually closing!). The atmosphere is calm and nice.

Located right next to the main building of the St. Petersburg University, this cheerful place is a master of all trades. It positions itself as a brewery, which it is, but actually when it comes to that, it is one of the best reasonably priced restaurants/tea shops around for lunch, dinner, or dessert, whatever. Since it is so close to... More

The food here is excellent and it is frequently by both locals and tourists, even the odd student. The interior is wood-dominated with a slightly medieval feel and located quite near St. Petersburg State University. The only thing that put us off with this restaurant was what appeared to a "bouncer" (hopefully not the manager) with a very hateful expression... More

Needed to find quickly an easy place for dinner with 3 young kids. Grad Petrov worked perfectly! Kids enjoyed good chicken nuggets with homemade ketchup and crispy thin french fries and parents relaxed with locally brewed beer and hearthy German-style food. Not gourmet but good quality and friendly staff.

Good beer is har to find in St. Petersburg. Mostly the restaurant serve Carlsberg or similar. This place has its own micro brewery and produces 3 kinds of beer. A lager, a dark beer and a seasonal beer, which was a wheat beer during our visit. We tried the beer sampler. The lager and the wheat beers were excellent. The... More

We (couple, Spanish/Catalan & German) went to "Grad Petrov" for dinner. Nice place, beer-keller style atmosphere. If you want to eat, you can chose between bar and restaurant (no price diffrence). We went to the restaurant. We took the opportunity and chose their "beer tasting" option: all three beers (0.2 litres each glass) plus a glass of water for the... More
