Dined here on the 29th with my girlfriend. Ordered blini pancakes, mushroom soup, and the kamchatka crab (romanov style). I understand what they mean by "romanov style", as it feels like a failed assination attempt has been made on my life. I spent whole of the next day vomiting and sitting on the toilet every 15 minutes. Thankfully my girlfriend... More

This is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. After eating breakfast in a spacious and bright hall I was surprised to see the same room to have a beautifully dim and romantic ambiance. I was dressed in jeans, yet no one paid attention (another tourist) Next time, will definitely dress fancier. The service was superb. 4 course meal was... More

Wow, we loved this place. The room itself is amazing. The stained glass, that quasi art-deco feel. The service, piano player and violinist.... and of course the food! We had a tasting menu and loved every dish. The Caviar Egg is superb. We did not try the pricier Caviar, but I am sure that would be a treat as well.... More

The setting is fantastic and takes you right back to pre-Revolutionary Russia. Old fashioned and wonderfully attentive service. Formal but very welcoming service with great live music. The degustation menu was fantastic.

We came here for brunch/late lunch after visiting the Hermitage. First of all, the hotel itself looks like a museum, the decor just awed me. The restaurant, is probably one of the nicest restaurant I've ever been. The food, it could have been much better but who cares? They have so many varieties of salmon which were so delicious. We... What a fabulous place. We went there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better location - stunning. The service was impeccable and we even got a complimentary dessert delivered with fireworks and 'Happy Anniversary' piped in chocolate.I had the scrambled egg with truffle topped with caviar as a starter which comes with a glass... The Sunday Jazz Brunch (from 1-4pm) is pricey, but definitely worth it, Everything you could think of and more, washed down with bottomless champagne: sushi, caviar, oysters, carpaccio, a great variety of salads, pate, freshly prepared beef, lamb, shrimp or dorade, - plus of course a delicious dessert buffet. Attentive service and pleasant music in beautiful Art Deco surroundings makes... More

My hubby and I went there on our last night in St. Petersburg. We chose the 3-course set with wine pairing. We chose different starters and main courses so that we could try more dishes. The starters were Egg in Egg and Foie Gras. Both were good. Main courses were rainbow trout and Beef Stroganoff. Beef was tender though you might... More

Overall it's a fantastic experience for me in terms of food, service, live music and the dining environment. I went there when it closed on a Sunday evening, the staff was soooooo kind when I told him I wanted to see the Art Deco interior, he showed me in, this made me decide to come back next day. The waiters... More

This is a trip back in time to a very intensive approach to service with every detail not being over looked. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The meal was memorable and a treat to experience.
