As part of our Road Scholar tour we first visited the adjacent vodka museum with 3 different tastings. (Trick to not getting blasted is to eat between shots). Granted it was a set meal for a tour but I found the stroganoff to be the best I had in Russia. Cute setting with musicians.

We were visiting the Russian Vodka Museum and decided to have an early dinner. We loved the atmosphere and the food turned out to be excellent. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the "Moscovskaya Zukuska" starter was the firm favourite at our table - baked bone marrow on bread served with black salt. Very rich, but with a shot of... Very good place. Well decorated. Traditional food, drinks and service. Everything was very good at first visit and even better at the second one.

Our experience here was a good one. The food is authentic Russian and most dishes we had were quite good. It's fun to try the many different Vodkas. We didn't have time for the museum but the smaller bar - museum was fun to go through. It's very different and i think quite worth a stop.

We were trying to visit it yesterday as Vodka museum was closed as they were waiting for a big tourist group and were not receiving other visitors. So we went to Russkaya Ryumochnaya and asked to organise a vodka tasting for us. The restaurant was almost empty, but the staff wasn't interested in serving us at all. They could have... More

We thought it would be funny to tell all our friends that we went to the Russian Vodka Museum, so we decided to grab lunch here on our way from Yusupov Palace to the Hermitage. We didn't have any expectations for the food, but this turned out to be one of our favorite meals in Russia. The chicken with lingonberry... More

Went based on trip advisor reviews. Was OK but not as good as what we expected. A number of the menu items were unavailable (which seems to be a common theme in Russia!). Staff were reasonably friendly.

Enjoyed eating caviar and blinis so much we came back twice during our stay. Everything was good but we really enjoyed the Chicken Kiev and caviar. Prices seemed reasonable.

We turned up and were told that because we hadn't reserved there was no space, but after a bit of persistence they said we could have a very small table that was available. However we were then led to a large table for four (there was just two of us) which we were told we could have for two hours... More
