Located in Tverskaia boulevard, close to Tverskaia street, about 600 metres from Red Square, in the very centre of Moscow, Turandot is not only a very good and high-quality restaurant, but also a unique experience. Entering the elegant, baroque/oriental style halls, is a sort of journey to the past: you can feel yourself like living in the XIX or first... More

Nice place, good service, gourmet kitchen but nothing special. Sat on the terrace, however strongly suggest a visit when the weather is colder and there is no choice but to sit inside and admire the impressive interior.

It is a one of the most fancy places in Moscow. Old fashioned palace-like building where you can try traditional Russian dishes as well as European and Asian cuisine. The restraint offers brunch menu on weekends at around 60 € per person . The deserts in this place are to die for)) The restaurant is located in central Moscow, only... More

Gaudy decorations like you typically see in Russian gangster movies. Popular place, patrons can sit around bar or on comfortable chairs in a "library." Food was excellent with fresh vegetables for appetizers, soup, and Stroganoff that was delicious. Served wine and ice cold vodka which was quite smooth. Deserts were delicious too and non-fattening (LOL). A definite must see while... More

Beautiful Museum like surroundings. Menu very ordinary oriental/French. Over priced dishes. Very inattentive service. Got charged extra for lemon slices for the Pellegrino and for extra plum sauce. Have the impression they do not cater to Americans.

Had a wonderful dinner yesterday at this restaurant and loved everything about it. The service was impeccable and the food was certainly different. Décor was amazing, Rococo Chinoiserie with beautiful collection of Chinese Urns and beautifully painted ceiling and wall panels. The food is French/Chinese fusion and the décor lends a most appropriate atmosphere. The waiting staff were all extremely... More

Sorry to break the lovefest for this place but their food is overpriced. The service at this place infuriates me. When there's less than 10 people in the restaurant and people are waiting for their food, why is service so bad? Even for orders to-go I've had to wait for longer than expected.

When we walked into this restaurant it literally took my breath away! Just looking at the decor and the ceilings and chandeliers! Incredibly romantic and beautiful. Then the band was playing and they were in the middle of the floor with tuxedos (and were very good!). Then the brought out the delicious vodka and wine and the salads and the... More

I went to Turandot for dinner, more out of curiosity than anything else. I must say I was flabbergasted by its interior. Tacky is an understatement. I had the Peking duck, that was good, but side dish got lost on its way and never arrived. I was sitting upstairs and I must say that the acoustic of the room was... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
