I have read some of the previous reviews and I am sorry but I just don't understand. My sister and I went there tonight as it was highly recommend from a friend. I must say he was right. The food was devine, our waiter excellent. If a ever come back to Moscow this will be the first place I will... More

Went there because of the good reviews from a few sites and journals. We only learnt the day before that this is not a historic building but was designed after what the owner thought the famous (but inexistent) "chez Pouchkine" from Gilbert Bécauds song "Natalie" would look like. The result is a dimly lit place, the quality of the interior... More

Busted this lovely restaurant in Moscow recently with family. Food is very good and staff are efficient and friendly. Building is old and is taking a tour of.

We were on a private (expensive/up-market) guided tour of Moscow and lunch at this restaurant was included, so maybe the service we received reflected that fact. But I don't care, the service was ordinary and the food was blah. From the moment we entered I had the feeling that they just wanted us to eat as quickly as possible so... More

Whilst this restaurant is in a lovely old Baroque building on Tverskoi Boulevard, it is not really the olde worlde Parisian-style restaurant it might seem. It was created about 20 years ago as a recreation of a nineteenth-century restaurant cum gentlemen's club with appropriately distressed wood and dusty book shelves. The structure of the building is certainly of genuine interest... More

The restaurant is in a beautiful old house (palace) filled with antiques. But the food is average at best (we had the beef stroganoff, it was the worst of our entire trip), and way overpriced. The place was filled with tourists and lacked atmosphere. It's open 24 hours and famous in Moscow for after-clubbing food like borsch. Maybe it's more... More

Cafe Pushkin is one of Moscow life the symbols Old building dating early XIX Century, the atmosphere of Russian aristocracy, wiped away by the Bolsheviks, theclassical Russian menu of dishes the Russians do not eat anymore. Pushin is a great place to visit Russia which has dissapeared!

Terrific authentic Russian cuisine in gorgeous setting. Impeccable service and outstanding food. Dumplings, beef stroganoff, roast chicken and ice cream creme brûlée were phenomenal.

While the venue is beautiful that's about it. Avoid this place to eat! The servers are rude and stuffy. Of the six people eating, not one person enjoyed their meal. Mine was not cooked through, serving undercooked chicken will get someone sick. When I didn't eat my dish the waiter explained to me what was in my chicken dish and... More

This is a very classy early 19th century restaurant and cafe in Moscow. A restaurant placed in the part of the area where Pushkin himself spent a lot of time. It's highly recommended to read a little bit about the history of Pushkin and this restaurant on beforehand to get the whole "feeling" and atmosphere. Metro station Pushkinskaya is very... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
