If you are lucky enough to find this hidden gem you are up to a treat. We went and found the place with the help of our GPS in a rainy March evening. When you find the entrance you feel like - i wouldn't have found it in a thousand years and if you don't know how to read Russian... More

This really very beautiful and nice place makes you feel like sitting in your grandmothers kitchen. Good food and some events with seminars and music makes you enjoy the time there. Also the staff was very friendly. I will come back for sure.

The food was very tasty and served quickly. The place is a museum in itself - lots of fascinating, tongue-in-cheek Soviet-era memorabilia on the walls. We stayed on for a disco which was 80s/ 90s themed and was super fun! Love how genuine and non-judgemental this place is compared to some of the more pretentious 'hipster' outlets popping up across... More

This place is for vodka drinkers. They have a very special vodka with horseradish flavour. They have typical small Russian dishes like dumplings with cream and herring. The best thing about this place is the authentic interior.

We really enjoyed this place! It was a bit of a challenge to make reservations here (you have to make reservations), and it is a bit difficult to find.. but once your there: really cool! It has this cosy atmosphere with old vintage stuff on the walls. The food is also really good and our waiter recommended some great dishes!... More

This place came highly recommended from my hostel in Moscow. Super cheap and a good home cooked Russian meal. They will serve you 1 main course and the rest is all you can eat. Look at my picture for reference. I walked 20 minutes here with no regrets. All you can drink berry drink too! 200 ruble ($3.08 USD!!!!)

My husband found this gem and made sure to coordinate our dinner with the live music (they post the schedule on-line). It's technically a private club so a reservation is a must. The duck with fruit was amazing but the real stars were the ambiance and music (vodka was fun until the next morning). We ate, we drank, we danced... More

Always stop by here when visiting Moscow with our team. I just love the old Soviet atmosphere and stuff everywhere. Also the food is great! The Chicken Kiev is the best ever.

The restaurant is a long lasting business. This is different from the majority of Russian restaurants. Designed nicely as an eatery in the surround of the collection of the Soviet time relics it is located in the basement of the building on the side street in city center. Additional spice is the number of cartoons by famous Rusian psychiatrist and... More

We have not been here for many years but friends of ours were playing , Fortuna Jazz, so we booked a table in the cavern like concert room . The menu is quite comprehensive , the veal dishes are very good. The service is a bit slow but hey that's all part of the long enjoyable evening. Great live music... More
