Located behind the Museum of Modern Art in UI, Petrovka, Moscow, this Café serves Georgian food, snacks with a wide variety of wines, some of which can be purchased from the connected wine cellar on the premises. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a friendly and efficient staff. Worth visiting for a midday meal or supper if you're... More

Suggested by a local, visited for dinner. It was approx 10-12 min min walk from Bolshoi theatre, not a heart of city centre but only slightly residential part. The restaurant offers Georgian food and western as well, visitors were mostly locals, not many obvious tourists there. Casual and relaxed mood basically, English is easily understood. Free wifi is provided. Will... More

I don't know about food but it is a great place to have a drink. We were outside sitting on a swing. It is a calm place in the city center next to some Tseretelli statues. Somehow it makes you feel you are in France. Expensive but worthy.

In a city where crowded is the word of every experience, there are few places where you can sit, relax and enjoy a coffee. Cafe Mart is one of these, situated in the Mmoma (Modern art museum). It has outside tables in a courtyard with statues as pieces of art, but you can also stay inside in one of the... More

I had a solo evening in Moscow and was originally walking towards another place, but then it started raining so I walked into Cafe Mart and never regretted it. The place has several rooms with the same overall atmosphere: muted lights, nice music - I think there was a piano playing in another room at some point, cozy furniture. Since... More

Went there in the evening for dinner after work. It is the second time I was there. The place has an interesting atmosphere with a seemingly labyrinth of rooms, a big wintergarden and some open space (in summer). The food was good and adequate for the price, but nothing outstanding. A small glitch, somehow I received grilled vegetables instead of... More

This place is tucked away in the courtyard of the rather bizarre modern art museum. It has a nice laid-back atmosphere, with a lot of indoor plants, some people drinking at the bar and uninvasive background music. European wines are not too expensive, especially for the centre of Moscow and if you are a fan of georgian food then they... More

Nice atmosphere restaurant. Tried the Georgian food...one can only taste the herbs and nothing else... gave me indigestion. Food did not come together for us which was strange. Service has room for improvement. Found it expensive considering.

The cafe is located in the Museum of modern art in the center of Moscow. There are many rooms, nice decorated, including the greenhouse and the summer veranda. The prices are high for such place, but the food is OK.

Of all the dishes I tried I only liked crème brûlée. And that's it. The atmosphere was also nice but the service was very slow and some food was even poorer than average.

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighborhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
